Chapter 14

Minako's POV

We reached the dorm

"Oh, you're all here. I have an announcement about something" The chairman said "The Monorail has stopped for some reason. They say that something is controling it"

"It must be 'them'." Akihiko said.

"You may be right, Akihiko. That's why we need to check up on it this coming full moon" the chairman said.

"Sure, when is the full moon?" Junpei asked.

"Next Monday" Mitsuru-senpai replied

"Then we have five more days to train. Okay! Let's Go to Tartarus tonight!" I said cheerfully.

"Wait just a minute! Mina, you just escaped the hospital and you still look like shit! Are you really okay?" Minato asked.

I lift my hand and made a thumbs up on him. "Don't worry, bro! I'll be alright! I promise!"

"Mina is back!" Yukari said. I chuckled

"Alright, please prepare your weapons." Mitsuru said. We all nodded a voice ringed on my head

"The bond forged by Minako has increased"

Inside Tartarus

"Be careful, Mina. I wish I could join you guys" Akihiko said.

"We'll be just fine, Aki. Don't worry! Minato is with me!"

"Okay, please be careful" he said. I hugged him and said "Okay"

"You ready?" Mitsuru-senpai asked

"Ready!" We all said.

We split up and fought many shadows as possible.

"The next floor is blocked. Just return here, that's enough training for tonight."

"Alright" I said. We got back.

Iwatodai Dorm

Everyone is asleep exept for me.

I walked down stairs and saw Akihiko sitting on the sofa sleeping. I sat next to him and then he woke up.

"Hey" he said.

"Hey, I'll sleep next to you so... Goodnight."

"Goodnight" he said and hugged me.

Morning

I woke up beside Akihiko. I moved a bit and he woke up.

"Morning" I said.

"Morning, Sunshine" he said. I blushed.

"What time is it?" He asked. I looked at the clock and stood up

"Holy--- ITS ALREADY 10 o'clock! C'mon! We need to hurry and get ready to--"

"Let's take a day off." Akihiko said.

"Well--"

"C'mon! We need a time off. Besides, they didn't woke us up so its their problem."

"What?! Its our problem for not waking up, dummy" I said

"C'mon! Its just ONE day"

"Okay, then... let me just fix myself up" I said and ran to my room.

"Ready to go?" Akihiko knocked on my door.

"Yeah, wait a minute" I said. I grabbed my scarf and got out of my room.

"Let's go?" Aki asked.

"Yeah"

We got out of the dorm.

"Aki" a man called. He looks like a gangster. He wears a bonet, has a  brown-grey hair that reached his shoulders and he wears a long pea coat.

"Shinji." Akihiko called the man. "Mina, wait here"

"Okay"

Akihiko's POV

"What are you doing!?" Shinji asked. He looked at Minako.

"I'm having a date with her"

"What?! You're not in school?"

"Look who's talking." I said and crossed my arms

"Look, Aki... you better be careful."

"Okay, 'DAD'. Come with us!"

"What?"

"Mina, c'mere" I called her.

"Mina, this is Shinji" I introduced her to him

"Hello, I'm Minako Arisato! Nice to meet you!" Mina said cheerfully and reached her hands out to Shinji.

Shinji looked at her hands then to me.

"Shinjiro Aragaki" he said and shake hands with Mina.

"I have no time for this. I ain't gonna be a third wheel. See ya' around. Take care you two" He said and waved his hand goodbye.

"Tch, cold" I said.

"What? I think he's a nice guy" Minako said. I looked at her.

"Everyone is nice to you." I chuckled.

"Well, I think you two are best buddies!" She said.

"Y-You could say that."

"Why? Are you two not?" She asked.

"I don't know. He's been there for me and my sister since we were kids. We lived in an orphanage. Me, my sister and Shinjiro. Me and Shinjiro always protect Mika, my sister. One day, Mika wanted a stuffed bunny but I have no money, so I tried to steal the bunny. But I got caught. Shinji showed up and said 'I was the one who stoled the bunny!' Then he was punished by the owner of the store. He got out and then punched me. I deserved it though" I said.

"Well, where is Mika? Is she okay?"

I gulped and tried not to cry "She died. I forgot her when the building we live in burned. I didn't had the chance to save her. And you know what? I cried like a girl. Shinji always punch me and said, 'Stop crying like a girl! It's not your fault she died!' I always cry when I get hurt. But as I grow up, I started to forget and get over my pain. I know that crying can't bring anyone back." I said.

"Aki" Mina held my hands.

"That day, I trained so hard and became the boxing champion in Iwatodai. And I made a promise to myself that I will not let anyone get hurt. I will protect my family and you." I said

"Akihiko, I know you loved your sister that much."

"Yeah, But it still leaves my heart broken. But you healed my heart, Mina. You resolved it. That's why I....." I started to blush "I love you"

"Aki, I love you too"
