Chapter 16

Minato's POV

I stayed with Yukari last night because of her fever.

"Still 39.7 degrees. When will her fever go down?" Mina asked. She's worried about Yukari, we all are.

"I'll call the doctor" Mitsuru said. I nodded.

I looked at Yukari, she's breathing heavily.

"Please be okay" I said. She looked at me and smiled weakly.

"Tomorrow will be our battle at the monorail, she needs to be healed" Junpei said

"Yeah"

Someone knocked on the door

"The doctor is here" Mitsuru said. We all gave way for the doctor. He checked up on Yukari who breathes heavily.

"Hmm. She'll be okay tomorrow, she needs just need to rest. Her fever will come down later and she'll be good to go. So you must stay in bed Ms. Takeba and sleep." He said. Yukari nodded and closed her eyes.

"Thank you, Doctor" Junpei said. The doctor nodded and left the room.

"Hear that Yukari? You need to rest here all day" Mitsuru said. "Minato will be taking care of you"

I looked at her and said "What?! Why me?"

"Well you stayed with her last night right?"

"Yeah? so?"

"So, this is a punishment for staying in a girl's room" Mitsuru walked out.

"Wha--?! B-Bu-- Dang it!"

"Good luck, bro. You'll just have to wait for her to be better. I'll bring you and Yukari foo later, okay?" Mina said. I nodded

I looked at Yukari. She's pale and burning hot.

They all walked out her room.

"Minato.."

"Yeah?"

"It's okay to leave me alone"

"No, I have to take care of you. Do you need something?" I asked. A quick silence covered the whole room

"Y-Yeah, a glass of water"

"I'll be right back" I said and stood up and opened the door to come down to the kitchen.

"Dude" Junpei called

"Yow?"

"There's this new video game online. Its MMORPG. I can't play the because my laptop is busted. I decided to just give it to you."

"Yeah, thanks" he handed me a small chip and came back to Yukari's room.

I saw her lying on the ground

"Y-Yukari!?" I aproached her and picked her up. I lay her down on her bed. She cried

"W-Why do I have to be so weak?" She asked

"You're not!"

"Then why can't I defeat one shadow? Just one weak shadow?" She cried

"You defeated one, remember when we're inside Ta--"

"No! I want to help you guys! But instead of helping, I was the one you're helping"

"You always heal us! Yukari, without you we would be dead inside Tartarus. Me and My sister may have multiple personas but we can't use them all at once. You always heal us and that is why you are a very important person to our team and to me" I said.

"M-Minato... I'm sorry" She said.

"Look, you need to rest. Tomorrow we'll have to check up on that monorail. So rest alot"

"Okay" She said and started closing her eyes.

Minako's POV

I came out today with Saori because she said she wanted to come with me to the Shrine

"Mina, remember the little girl that the girls at school are talking about?" She asked

"Yeah? Why?"

"Look, she's here today"

I looked near at the playground. She just stand there looking at her feet. I aproached her.

"Hey there!" I think I caught her attention. "Why are you all alone here?"

"Oh? My Papa said to come here if I finished hanging out with my friends. But I think papa will be late again. Oh! Are you bad people? My papa said I shouldn't talk to strangers."

I looked at Saori and smiled. We leaned close to her and said "Don't worry, we're good persons. I'm Minako and my friend here is Saori. Nice to meet you" we smiled

"My name si Mako. Nice to meet you too!" She said. "I think my papa will be super late."

"Well then, do you wanna play?" I asked her

"Really?! You want to play with me?"

"Yeah!"

"Why? You two are adults... why would you bother to play with me?"

I looked at Saori "Because we like to play. And we're not that old" she said.

"Really?"

"Yes!" I said

She smiled and we started climbing bars and played seesaw and played in the sand.

"Mako?" A middle-aged guy called

"Oh, papa is here! I have to go, thank you Mina-senpai, Saori-senpai! Let's play again tommorow!" She said. We waved goodbye at her and she smiled.

"That girl has a very bright smile on her face just like you have Mina" Saori said. I blushed

"Saori-san, don't flutter me"

"What? Its true!" She said and chuckled. We leaved the Shrine and said goodbye to each other.
