Chapter 17

Third Person's POV

The gang gathered themselves in the command room with the chairman. They were preparing for tonight's mission at the monorail. Their target is to find the shadow that's inside the monorail.

"Yukari, are you sure you can go?" Minako asked. Yukari still needs some rest. Her fever came down to 37.8 degrees. Its still not okay to go, but she forced Minato.

"Yeah, I can fight." She said with a weak voice. They all looked at Yukari who's still weak.

"Okay, just tell me if you can't heal us in battle. I'll do the healing and you'll defend yourself. If you can't, I'll protect all of you" Minako said bravely.

"Sis..." Minato looked at Yukari and said "I will protect all of you also!"

"Ditto!" Junpei shouted.

They gained trust to one another. No one will be going down in this battle. Hopefully, Yukari will not faint in battle.

They all walked to the monorail. They waited for Mitsuru and then started the mission.

"Let's not waste time!" Minako shouted. They entered the train and then saw few shadows on the way.

"There!" Minato shouted. They chased the shadow but it ran away.

"What the--?" Junpei said

"I think it wants us to follow. C'mon, gang! Let's go!" Minako said.

They followed the shadow

"Oh no! I sense a great power!" Mitsuru said. The train moved.

"We're moving!!" Junpei said.

"It must be stopped! Hurry and find it! Before it hit the other side!" Mitsuru warned.

"It must be the mastermind!" Minako said. They opened the door and saw a big shadow.

"Hmm, just like the one Mina faced!" Yukari said.

"W-Woah?! Y-You defeated a shadow that big?!" Junpei was shocked

"Yeah, but its different. The first one was not like that. The first shadow I battled only has hands. No head and body and feet. Together with it is a mask"

"Yeah..." Minato murmured. They charged the shadow

"Yuka-tan! Tell if you're still okay, okay?" Junpei said

"Yeah"

"Gang, WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN!" they attacked the shadow all at once. The shadow didn't had a chance to attack. They defeated it in time.

But they're not stoping. The train is still moving!

"Grab the breaks!" Yukari said.

"I got it!" Minato ran and pulled the break.

They finally stopped and sigh in relief.

"Dude, I'm bathing in my own sweat!" Junpei said

"I almost had an heart attack!" Minako said. Yukari just smiled and then she fainted.

"Yukari!" Minako shouted. She shook Yukari but Yukari was out cold.

"Mitsuru-senpai, Yukari fainted!" Minako said

"Okay, lets head back to the dorm quickly!" Mitsuru said. Minato carried Yukari and then they head back to the dorm

Iwatodai, Gekkoukan Highschool Dorm

"Her fever came up again" The chairman said.

"Tch, I shouldn't have let her go with us." Minato blamed himself.

"Minato, its not your fault my fever came up again. I forced you to let me join"

"But if I didn't let you, your fever wouldn't go up again" Minato said. Yukari looked at Minato and the others.

"Sorry guys, did I helped you?"

"Yes. You did a great job healing us and backing us up!" Minako hugged her.

"I know you're tough but, you proved me more Yuka-tan! You're a badass! Man, if I had a fever I won't go to school or any of my part-time job! And---" Junpei stopped. They all looked at him "Well, I'll do the same thing as Yuka-tan did." He said.

"Well, if there is one of us who is sick... we'll still figure out how to make everyone get better." Minato said.

"You guys needs more protein! Our body needs protein!" Akihiko said. Minako punched him in the gut. "What?! Ya'll need protein! Look how Mina here is so thin but still stro---?! Babe! Ow!"

"Stop it, Aki. Anyways, we need to be healthy. Kabish?!" Minako said

"Yosh!" They all said.

Minako's POV

"Aki" I called

"Huh? Oh, Mina. What do you need?" He asked

"Well, I just thought about how many shadows are out there. I mean, there would probably be a ton of them.. right?"

"Yeah, right. Don't worry about a thing! I'll protect you and the gang if something happens."

"By the way, what did the doctor said."

"He said I need to come back tomorrow for the results. Wanna come with me?"

"Sure, we'll go early in the morning?"

"I don't think the hospital opens early. We need to wait."

"Oh, so... were skipping class?"

"No... we'll come to school after the result"

"Sure, okay. Then  I'll be going back to bed" I said.

Aki hugged me and kissed my forehead "Goodnight" he said. I smiled and nodded.
