A Bad Feeling

I wake up to the sun shinning on my eyelids. I open my eyes slowly. Adjusting to the light I get out from under the sheets. I put on my boots, vest, and my belt. I put my sword in my belt. I put the bag of arrows over my shoulder along with my bow. I look out the window to get a perfect view of the centre of the coliseum. There were a few people practicing. I should go practice too. I didn't know how to get out of this maze of a stadium. I'll just wing it. I step out of the room and start wandering the coliseum.

~Time Skip~

I finally find myself in the centre of the coliseum. There were a few slaves and their owners working on their technique. There was on slave that definitely looked like he was going to be a challenge. He was a giant. He had a huge sword that's blades height when it's horizontal is taller then me. The giant wore mostly brown rags. He looks so angry. His owner was on his shoulder yelling into his ear. I walk out to were no one was and grabbed my bow. I looked at a target. Equipping my bow with an arrow, I aim the bow at the target. I release a sigh and l let go of the string. I close my eyes prepared to hear someone scream from being shot with an arrow. When I didn't hear anyone scream I slowly open my eyes. My eyes widen in shock. The arrow was in the centre of the target.

"No that must just be a fluke" I say to myself quietly. I shoot a few more as they hit the centre as well. Was I good with a bow and arrow in my life before this? I retrieve my arrow. "Maybe this is all just a hoax" I said.

'No my dear this isn't a fluke.' The voice was in my head.

'Who's this?' I ask.

'I am the late Queen of White.  My spirit is bound to the weapon in your hands. When you use me I will lend you my strength. I am here to assist you Astaya.' The Bow was glowing as the voice was talking in my head.

'What's your name?' I ask.

'My name is Irene. You'll hear more of my name but I wish to tell you that the man claims to be the green king hasn't told you the full truth. Now I will leave you to your practice.' I nod and put the bow over my shoulder.

"That was amazing. You have really good aim" exclaimed a female voice. Looking over my shoulder I see a girl. She looked to be sixteen. Her hair was a light brown with green highlights. Her eyes were green. She wore a tattered green dress. She was shoeless. In her hand was a belt of daggers. She put the belt on and offered me a hand.
I take it and shake her hand." It's nice to meet you. I'm Lassie" said the girl.

"I'm Astaya" I said smiling.

"So Astaya why are you here? You don't look like a slave. So how did you get here?" Asked Lassie getting right to the point. I look up at the window where I had looked out at the coliseum.

"I...I'm helping someone" I mutter. Lassie looks up at the window too.

"We'll do you want to spar with me?" Lassie asks changing the subject.

"Sure I just want to warn you that I have magic" I state.

"Don't worry I do too" Lassie said. I smile. She backs up."let's lay down some ground rules. How about no injuries or deaths."

"Sounds good to me" I said smirking." I'll go easy on you." Lassie laughs.

"Not to easy. I want a challenge" Lassie said. I nod."ready...GO!" Lassie yells as she charges at me. I rase my enclosed blade no wanting to use my magic. Lassie pulls out a dagger from her belt. She jumps over me and gabs the dagger into the ground behind me. There was a symbol on the guard. It looked to be a bolder or rock. I quickly jump away as a pillar of rocks shoots out from where I stood." Your fast Astaya. Nice dodge" Lassie said.
