13 years later...
"Dad! I've been hit by those lasers again!" Leia complained.
"Be more careful next time!" Anakin yelled through all the lasers and lightsaber noises.
"Whatever. But that won't make me improve in defense." Leia mumbled.
She looked at Luke. He was good with the lightsaber. He even went up to the next level: being blindfolded. Even if he couldn't see, he still made more progress than Leia. And as Anakin always said to them, "The Force is strong in our family." Which probably meant that they were supposed to be strong with the Force.
Luke took off his blindfold, wiping off his sweat. "That was a good one. I'm taking a break." he muttered.
He stared at Leia. "Finished already? I bet you're scared of being hit by those lasers..." he teased.
"You think I am scared of those lasers? I have been hit by those since day 1 till now! You know what? I think I QUIT being a Jedi!" Leia fumed, throwing her saber to the ground.
Luke just stared at her, his jaw dropped. How could she?! She quit being a Jedi! What if Dad finds out?! Ohh... Dad is gonna be so mad when he finds out. Maybe it was me. I have been teasing her a lot lately. Maybe she thinks that I'm better than her with the saber. Maybe she could be a Senator? Like Mum? At least Dad might be okay if she follows Mum...
Anakin walked into the room. He looked at the twins. They must have finished their training.
Anakin looked at the ground. He saw a lightsaber, rolling to his feet. He picked it up, and inspected it. It's Leia's... But why would it be on the floor? He cleared his throat. "Excuse me, Leia, but what is your lightsaber doing on the floor?"
Leia gulped. Explaining this to her father would be the hardest thing she'd ever done. She looked at Luke. She was reaching out for his Force signature.
Luke knew what she was doing.
"What is it?" Luke asked."Help me, please. I don't know how to reason with Dad." she pleaded.
"Well, can't you just tell him the truth?"
"Tell him the truth! For the Force's sake, you know how he freaks out!"
"There's no other way. Unless you can lie to him."
"But he might suspect something!"
"Well, no other way. Like I said before."
"You're not much of a help to me. I'll just try to tell him the truth. Just hope for me that he doesn't blow the house down."
"(*giggles) Okay."
And then their conversation ended.
"Dad, just don't freak out if I tell you, okay?" Leia said, making it like a warning.
Anakin nodded. He hoped that whatever his daughter said wouldn't be anything bad.
"Well, you see, Dad..." Leia stammered. She didn't want him to ground her. Not again, at least.
Anakin was curious. "Don't worry, I won't ground you, I promise. You can tell me."Oh, Dad. Please don't give me that lame pep talk. Leia muttered in her head.
"Dad, I-I don't wanna be a Jedi anymore." Leia cleared her throat, making it clear.
Anakin couldn't believe what he was hearing. "What? You must be joking..." he chuckled. "You still are a Jedi."
"Look, Dad. I'm serious about this. I don't wanna be a Jedi. I'm tired of all this. The code says this, you must do this; the code says don't do this, you must not do this. And I ain't good with the lightsaber! No matter how many times I try, the more worse I get! I'm DONE with this!" Leia shouted, walking out of the training room.
Anakin quickly ran up to her. "Look, Leia. Your mum did her very best to call Obi-Wan here and to train you two. Shouldn't you be grateful? Why give up so easily?" Anakin tried to lower her temper.
Leia gave a cold stare. "Easy for you to say, Dad. You were like this too. Obi-Wan told me. You even almost gave up being a Jedi to save Mum. So I practically got this behavior from you." she shot back.
Anakin was taken aback. His daughter really insulted him. No wonder she was so like him. Arrogant and fiery.
"Don't you talk like that to your father. I don't wanna lose you like how I lost myself. I listened to Chancellor Palpatine. He is the Sith lord. He might draw you to him. And I don't want to lose you like Ahsoka..."he wept.
"Ahsoka?" Leia asked.
"She was my Padawan before you two were born. She left the Council because she was expelled."
"Why was she expelled?" Leia asked, growing curious.
"She did something wrong. I stood up for her. But she still had to leave."
Leia hugged her father. She felt sorry for him. "Dad, I'm sorry. Sorry because I showed my temper. Please, Dad? Can you forgive me like the last time?"
Anakin hugged his daughter back. "Sure. I'm always here for you."
Leia spoke up. "But I'm still leaving the Council."
"It's alright with me." Anakin said, with approval.
"So, can I be a Senator like Mum?"
"Sure. If that's what you want."
And they embraced each other.
Luke and Padmé crept from behind the wall. They had been listening to the conversation the whole time.
"Aww...."
I'm always there for you...

A/N: The end of chapter 18! Did you guys like the chapter?Such a touching chapter! Did you guys almost cry at the last part? (I definitely did, just a little.) Oh and, that's how Leia became a Senator. (a twist from the movie.) Do you guys like father/daughter moments? I hope I can make mother/son moments too. But... I'm not so sure. And Luke was a bit mean to Leia. And Leia showed her temper a lot. Twists again!
That's it. May the Force be with you!
Fact: Although Leia never uses her lightsaber, (the yellow one) she still keeps it for emergencies.
~Leia
