Why Am I Crying?

I'm crying because you can't see the pain,
All you see is me in the rain.
You can't see the tears in my eyes,
Because the rain washed away the lies.

Why am I crying when I have everything,
All the gold in the world, all the bling.
My tears shatter like crystals on the paved road,
Oh, how I wish it snowed.

You can't see my fears because I hide them behind the scars!
I threw out the razor and sent my dreams to the stars.
Why am I crying when you're here with open arms?
Why am I the one who still self harms?

I always want to continue the dance with that sharp knife,
But you claim it'll end my precious life...
I don't want to burden you,
But I would like to be new...

I won't end my beautiful life,
But me promising that won't end our strife.
I may have ran out of tears and dried my eyes,
But that doesn't stop me from wishing with the skies...

Angels can fly,
If they can fly, then they can cry.
I am crying, and I wish to fly...
So, why can't I just die?

I can't die because too many things are halting me...
Can't you just cut my wings free?
I won't fly away, I won't, but I can't promise,
Because last time i promised I wasn't so honest...

Cut away the tethers on my wings,
Cut away, cut away the strings.
I love you too much to leave you,
So come with me and dance in the morning dew...
