Forget it. I had a ball to attend.

So the rest of us followed suit through the shimmering wall of water, me myself leaving all thoughts of Arric, all thoughts of Shay, all thoughts of the mystery voice, stepping out of this realm into the abyss and into the world beyond.

Chapter 19 - Enwreathed

Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly." – John 7:24

Going through a hand-made Portal was different than going through a built in one. The former takes you to the place simply by stepping one foot through it and you're already in another world. The latter puts you inside a black hole and you have to drive through it and enter the door that leads to the other place.

So I was pretty impressed when I left the cozy living room and landed in an enchanted forest, complete with glowing trees that made us feel so miniature, with fist sized fire flies that flew high above the canopy glowing bright blue, all before I had time to blink thrice. It was beautiful. So magical. And I had lived in magical worlds all my life, so if I said something was magical, it truly was.

It was night time with nothing in the sky to illuminate the world, but the forest itself would suffice more than fine. The trees' barks twisted and curled in dark, magnificent glows, their leaves' natural white lights bright like the joy of Christmas trees. If you looked closely, you could see the intricate details of the bark: life seeming to pulse through the centre, visible because it glowed and the skin was rigidly translucent; the leaves so thin they showed their veins, like fingers of spiders hugging tightly to each other forming unusually vibrant interiors. Up ahead the top torso of the trees curved towards the centre to make a hooded path, sheltering passers from the dropping lights - the snow - that looked like distant falling stars. It was mildly cold but maybe it was because my back was plainly exposed to the tingling whisper of the wind. I looked down and didn't bother to suppress my awe - right there, under my feet, was glowing silver water. Or what looked like water, not ice, and I was standing right on top of it, without my feet getting wet. It was as if I was walking on water, but the liquid was solid, jelly-like, seeming to flow gently upstream. So I knew it wasn't ice nor water, but something else I've never came across completely.

Everything glowed, forming a beautiful overall picturesque with every single pawn completing one another.

Not so far in the misty distance, a grand building shot up, overpowering its white and blue surroundings with its own strong honey yellow. Lights punctured the sky above, as if to announce that the show of the century was about to start.

Everyone seemed very awestruck to some extent. All but Zayn, as always. He was so nervous he made ME nervous. You know, the basics, lower lip bit, thumbs fiddling, movement never leaving him.

Oh that reminded me.

"We need a game plan."

"Okay, so our main objective is to retrieve the Qohls where ever it is kept in the castle...which can be kept anywhere so I don't really have a plan except to split up. I think it's the best way." Harry uttered.

"Dude, we don't even know if it's in there. What if your perception of 'the ruler of dark chocolate' or something differs from the actual meaning? If for say, it was actually sent to the Witch like how many millenniums ago, what makes you think it's still with her?"
