1 story, 40 chapters, (precisely) 123467 words – one amazing journey.

A 22-months long journey filled with crazy exploding ideas, unfollowed planning, countless hiatuses, an equal amount of comebacks, an amazing writing experience, and of course amazing readers. Thank you, for all your votes and comments and for the time you spent reading this story. This has been a learning experience for me, one that really paid off, as it is my first complete novel-length story, not flawless, but dear to me nonetheless.

I treated this fanfiction as any other fantasy story, making my own realms and languages and species and creatures. I love the worlds so much, I’m even considering re-writing it and making it into a legit novel! :p

The story started after I watched a really good spy movie among other things, and all I thought up back then was a girl tied up to a chair, in an empty room. That was the beginning of…everything. But that really was all I had when I started. I had no clue, no plan, no nothing. (If you’d like to know, I originally planned for the core of the story to be Louis drinking Isla’s blood for immortality…it sounds ridiculous now though.) But I just went with it and started writing, and as I went on the story became clear to me – Harry’s Charm, the Crystals, her family – to the point where I had planned everything until the end, although a lot – and I mean a lot – changed since the first plan. Even when I have a chapter outline in mind, I suddenly twist it or decide to do this or that to a certain character, the moment my hands ravenously type away on my keyboard. Inspiration also came from everywhere – books, movies, random walks in the mall, night bus rides in some dark mountain (not kidding), or even when I’m in the restroom. In fact, if you want to ask me where I got the idea for a certain scene or character, there’s a 95% chance I can tell you what inspired me to write that particular thing. Go on, ask me. ;)

I’ve always been a big fan of fantasy and action, maybe a spice of romance. Some books or movies influenced me more than others, therefore the fluctuating styles of my writing. I feel like I got better after every chapter though, and when I look back at the first ones, I could see the gap I now created for myself, how…scantily it was when I first started and how much I’ve improved over the chapters.

Readers, thank you for everything. The reason I put this story online is so other people can experience the realms as I do. If any of you like writing, I urge you to write. Don’t worry about getting writer’s block or having grammatical errors or if your writing’s not good enough. Hey, if you like it, do it; do it a lot, practice, and you’re guaranteed to get better. Fun fact, English isn’t my native language, but I write a lot better in it than I do in my own language. So like, hey, why not give it a go, right? :p

I think that’s about it. If you have any more questions regarding this story, comment below or kik me: GenTheGenGen – I’d gladly get back to you. So, again, thank you for everything, and see you in my other stories, or I might even see you in yours! :)

Aran tikhna ehnas, everybody. I love you all. :)
