My emotions were pushed behind me. I want to spend a night back in London, curled up beside me boyfriend.

I sit in bed wearing nothing but my Calvin Klein's, my perfectly curly hair falling down my tiny body. I'm quite short.

Louis comes into the room, holding a few wrinkly pieces of paper in his hands. "Kylie, what are these?"

Confused, I reply. "I don't know. I can't see them." I tease, sitting up on my knees.

Louis holds out the pieces of paper to me. In my handwriting, Piece by Piece at the top. Shit.

I quickly snatch the papers out of his hand. "It's nothing."

"No, it's clearly something." Louis insists, grabbing the papers. "Kyles, tell me what this song is about. Piece by piece, he collected me, up off the ground... and because unlike you he's gonna put her first. Who and what are these lyrics about?" Louis demands, sitting across from me on the bed.

A tear slides down my cheek. Louis goes to wipe it away, but I turn my head.

"It's about my dad, my real dad." I whisper. "He-he abandoned me, my mum, and Ali when I was six. Mum eventually got married again to Paul and they had two kids together. That's why there's such an age difference between me and the kids. The song is about Paul and Marissa. How my dad never loved me, yet Paul will always be there to protect us."

I completely burst into tears. Louis pulls me into his arms, holding onto my waist. "God, I'm so sorry you had to go through that."

"Dad lives in LA now." I tell him, knowing that Louis could conclude that I saw him when I was there two days ago. "I was looking at the song last night. I wrote another one too."

I hand him another piece of paper with the words For The Love of A Daughter at the top. He quickly reads over the words, his lips parted.

"Now forever afraid of being in love." Louis reads off one of the lines I had written. "Is this why you said no when I first asked you out? What you meant by no strings attached?"

"If I never let myself fall for a guy, then he can never break my heart like my dad broke my mum's." I whisper, my hands tangling in his hair. I rest my forehead against his. "But then you came along and fucked that up."

"Baby, I will never ever hurt you like that. I swear. I love you too bloody much to let you go." Louis insists, kissing me roughly.

"I know you won't." I mumble against his lips. "I love you."

"You're so amazing. I love you too."
