I can't take it anymore. I can't take Louis anymore.
All we've been doing for the past three weeks is fighting. We fight one day and then make up the next, then get annoyed at each other a few hours later.
I've never loved anyone as much as I love Louis, but I can't keep going on this way. Constantly fighting.
I need my space.
When I wake up in the morning, I have butterflies. Today's the day.
I get dressed in a simple tee shirt and jeans with my hair in curls down my back. I decide against makeup for today. I'm sure I'll be crying soon.
I take my quick drive over to Louis' flat. I'm sure this is the last time I'll be taking this drive for a while.
Knocking on the door, I start getting more nervous. Louis opens the door in sweats, smiling at me.
"Hey babe." He grins, pecking my lips.
"Hi." I say.
Louis gives me a look. "Are you alright? You're acting a bit off."
"Can we talk?" My eyes are already tearing up.
"Of course."
Louis and I sit on the couch. I grab his hand, letting my fingers run over his palm for a second. This is the last time for a while that I'll be holding his hand.
"I've been thinking about our relationship for a while now." I whisper, a single tear falling down my cheek. "Baby, I love you with every single fiber of my being, but I can't keep going with us fighting every single day."
"Yeah. I was thinking the same thing." Louis sighs, clutching my hand.
"I don't wanna break up with you. That's the last thing I ever wanna do because I believe that we'll be together forever. But I think we need a break."
"As much as I don't want it to happen, I think that would be best for us." Louis agreed again. "But if we're gonna do this, you have to promise me that we'll get back together. We'll give each other, say, three or four months."
"That sounds good." I nod, tears falling down my cheeks like a waterfall.
"Keeks, don't cry." Louis whispers, pulling me into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry." I cry, breathing in the scent of his cologne. "I don't want to leave you. I'm just going crazy."
"No you're not going crazy." Louis insists, rubbing my back. "I've been feeling the exact same way. We need this. It'll be good for us."
Reluctantly, I pull away from him. I wipe away my cheeks as quickly as possible.
"I need to go before I change my mind."
I rush towards the door. But Louis catches my hand and pulls me into a long, passionate kiss.
Louis pulls away, his hands on my cheek. "I love you so much. Never forget that. This isn't a goodbye, it's a see you later."
"I love you too, Louis. Forever and always."
