I wake up in the middle of the night. I'm curled up beside Louis, his arm loosely across my stomach.

I do my best to fall asleep, but I can't seem to keep my eyes shut. I gently press a kiss against Louis' temple, silently slipping out of bed.

I brew myself a quick cup of tea. Then I take a seat on the large windowsill in Louis' living room. Staring out at the bright lights of London, a sigh escapes my lips.

"Baby, are you okay?" Louis' soft voice breaks me out of my trance.

"Just couldn't sleep." I shrug, clutching my mug in my hands. "Would you like a cup of tea, my love?"

"Something is bothering you." Louis concludes, sitting across from me on the large windowsill. He rests his hand on my leg, his thumb rubbing agains my skin. "Talk to me, bubs."

I smile at the my new nickname.

"I don't know." I shrug again. "I guess I'm just thinking about my dad."

Louis sighs, closing his eyes for a moment. "Listen, Kyles, I'm really sorry about the way I approached you when I found the song. I guess I was just mad you didn't tell me. But I get that it was hard to talk about."

"Lou, you don't need to apologize for that. I would've reacted the same way if I found out something like that about you." I say, reaching forward and grabbing his hand, lacing our fingers together.

"You went to see him in LA." Louis says. "I assume it didn't go very well if you were looking over that song, and if you write another really depressing song."

"He still doesn't want me." I mumble, my eyes filling with tears.

"Baby, please don't cry." Louis coos, pulling me into his arms tightly. "Please."

"My father doesn't want me. He doesn't love me." I sob, my hands clutching the fabric of Louis' shirt. "What did I ever do to him?"

"You're amazing just the way you are, Kylie. Don't let whatever that douche tells you make you forget that. All that you need to know is that you have a family, and a boyfriend, and friends who love you dearly." Louis tells me, his arms tightly around me. "I love you."

"I love you too." I mumble, leaning up and pecking his lips. "Thank you for staying with me through all my crap."

"It's not crap, babe. It's just your life." Louis chuckles, kissing the top of my head. "But come on, let's get to bed. It's the middle of the night."
