Chapter seven

Grays POV
It feels so nice to have her back in my arms. Our magic worked in perfect sink and I couldn't help but smile. I was snapped back to reality when I felt something slice my sides.

"Ah!" I yelled as I stumble backward. Damn distraction I thought as my closed eyes started to unclench.

"Gray-Sama! Lucy-san" I heard Juvia growl as she looked over to what hit me.

"Yeah I know. Everyone back inside now!" She yelled as I started to watch our guild mates either limp or help others to the guild.

"We're not finished" Natsu said as he stomped up to Lucy. Juvia walked over to me to help me get up. Damn it, I'm supposed to be helping her I thought as I pushed her extended hand away from me and started to get onto my feet. I stumbled over to Natsu and agreed.

"We can still fight" I said as I tried to get into a fighting stance but it didn't work.

"Luce look out!" Natsu yelled as he pushed Lucy behind him prepared to take the laser for himself. Just before it hit him a wall of water separated us from the enemies.

"It's time to go" I heard Juvia speak in a tone of voice I've never heard before.

"Open celestial spirit gates!" Lucy yelled as a yellow flash of light blinded us from the girls.

"Loki, you must take the boys and the rest of the guild inside" Lucy said as she handed the spirits their keys back.

"Luce?" Natsu asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder, his expression just as confused as mine.

"The rest of you must create a shield around the buildings of the town, try to keep whatever you can safe, especially the people. It's been a pleasure being you wizard and friend" she said before turning around facing her back to us.

"Juvia?" I asked but she only did the same as Lucy, no even bothering to give me a glance. Loki grabbed Natsu and I by the arms tightly as he started to pull us away.

"Take care of our nakama Loki, just like we planned" Juvia said turning back as a tear fell from her eye.

"Lucy!" Natsu yelled as he tried hard to get out of the celestial spirits grip. I tried violently to escape but to no avail. All I could do was watch Juvias hair whip around as she moved, attacking any enemy that got in the way. Loki took us inside and closed the door, throwing us to the ground as he looked at the confused guild mates.

"Listen up!" Aries yelled at the whispering guild hall causing silence to fall.

"Juvia and Lucy are about to release hell so we need extra help with the barriers!" Loki yelled as he gestured to the script Mage.

"What will happen to the girls?" Mira asked the lion spirit who was organising the protection plan.

"Their gonna be fine" he said trying to get off topic.

"Why did you get your keys back if they were gonna be fine?!" Natsu yelled.

"For safe keeping!" Loki yelled getting mad.

"Why did they say goodbye?!" I asked getting nervous.

Because they die!" Loki yelled as tears fell down his face.

"What?" I asked shakily. I ran out the guild hall but soon hit the barrier.

"Juvia! You can't fight them alone, it not yours and Lucy's job to protect us!"I screamed as Natsu ran up besides me and attacked the barrier.

"My love for you away a gave  me the strength to fight. If I'm not strong enough to protect the ones I love the I don't have the right to love them" she said calmly as she smiled at me. She continued to fight the upcoming threat that suddenly hit them and knocked them down. Juvia, please don't leave me again, no more.
