Ferocious Flames

two ladies

I went to my room and it was dark. Probably over 12. I had no energy left so I just threw myself on bed. But it was dirty. Really really dirty. But I can still sleep. I ignored all the things that were under me and closed my eyes with a smile.
"ah!!!!" I shouted as i felt something moving under me.
"aye.. Shh.. It's only me...it's ryo!!"
"what the heck do you think you were  doing in my bed and under ugh...me?!!" I yelled at him but I was considerate enough that dad must be sleeping.
"what do you think at what time you're coming??!!" his voice was also low but his tone was just same as mine; yelling.
"there was just some work..."
"I ain't asking you why you're late but why didn't you call me??!!!"
"I thought you would've slept by now..I didn't want to trouble you for silly things."
"I actually get worried when you don't call. Just tell me anytime and anywhere okay!! I'll pick you, drop you. Just call okay, no matter how much silly is it!"
"fine.. " he still didn't move from my bed. Though I was starring at him continuously in a hope that he might understand my expression and finally leave me alone.
"what?!" he said breaking the silence. Oh..he so well understood what I meant!
"move on...go to your room! Lemme sleep!"
"so..sleep! As if I'm restricting you to do so."
"yes, you are doing! You're still on my bed!"
"I ain't some anti sleep!  this is a full grand size bed! We both can sleep here!"
"as if?! Just go!! I'm tired! I want to sleep!!" I cried.
"but i--"
"ALONE!!"
"you're a freak!" he finally went away. It was already 1 and I had no idea about how I was going to wake up tomorrow.

When I reached office the next day I knew I had to complete my work as today was the last day.
"you finished the game already?" gray stormed in my room. And I thought I will complete it today!Huh!
"yes..now don't disturb me!" I didn't look at him. He sure had a great talent in distracting people.
"hmm..good for you. Though I didn't expect that from you! Well, whatever...you still took one whole week to complete it."
"I could have done it before! But unlike you, I've got some other work to do also."
"yeah..yeah..so what was that you were doing?"
"WORK, you see. Sounds unfamiliar? "
"hey just-turned-18, you speak a lot! Well, I heard you went with natsume yesterday! Where's your usual driver, huh?!"
"gray did you ever check your bottom?! Who knows? You must be a girl with physical features of a boy. You sure are a gossip queen, aren't you?!"
"and you surely must be his wait...girlfriend?! " I left my work and starred at him.
"ooh.  That stare..!! Must be something." he said and I continued my work.
"you sure a nuisance! Well, learn to respect your boss. At least respect Mr karp. He's your senior."
"yeah..yeah.." he shrugged. I always felt some sort of disapproval from gray whenever it came to natsume. He surely didn't like him.
"everyone respects Mr karp. I wonder why don't you though, like who calls him by his first name?"
"I do and it's because of him that I don't like him."
"what?! That does not even make sense!"
"he's responsible for me not liking him."
"many people like him though. Ask Mr yagami about it."
"you included? And what about Mr yagami?! He can be easily fooled. All you need are some flattery words and a diplomatic face."
"so you've got a problem with Mr karp because he's got a diplomatic face?"
"that isn't it! He... Is clever!"
"being clever isn't good, huh?
"no, he's all this extra sweet everytime. Like look at him, the guy's so proud of himself ! The way he 'attracts' sponsors, you know."
"what's with that 'attracts'??"
"he uses his charm. Jeez he's such a girl! But what is it with you?!"
"me?"
"you're being all natsume-natsume!
"the guy just helped me last night."
"out of blue?and if I would have been you then I would have surely hated him."
"why would I hate him? I've heard a lot about his good work."
"yeah..yeah..if I would have been natsume then I would have hated you!  And that's why you should equally hate him."
"why would he hate me?"
"you took all his powers."
"I didn't. It has only been one week since I've come. You know I have not done much."
"well, I know you haven't done much! But legally and officially you've taken all his powers!"
"everyone isn't a power freak like you."
"unlike me, he is."
"and you're a psychic?"
"and you're his best friend?"
"jeez!You're such a...!! Give me a break,will you ! He studied in the same school as me."
"so he was famous even there, huh! He was like what, any leader of some sports team or someone in the student council? But he surely must be someone on whom you teenage girls can have their crush on!"
"what?!no...he was an introvert. Why did you ask?" I almost broke into a laughter. Gray was seriously so childish.
"even now.Introvert and yet famous! Aye, how do you know him then? Like he's way too older than you." what was with gray?!  He's such a girl!! Asking me questions like...ah. Well, natsume was only 5 years older than me.
"he was brother of my friend."
"well, I also have elder sister but her friends do not know me that well and for sure wouldn't even drive me home."
"your elder sister's friends are not good and trust me, I can't help it!" I stood as i had completed my work and I was born-ready to leave this conversation and that also with gray!
"you sure were close, huh?!" and he got another thing to tease me.
"my friend was quite social unlike her brother. So it was always us left. " I was so much ready to leave this room. Only winding up was left
"wow...never knew having no friends could be so much fun."
"go on with your fantasies..I'm leaving the whole room for you, okay." and then I went away to Mr yagami's room.

He flipped onto the pages carefully and after closing it he said," good work." I sighed as i was relived. It was my first work though. Funny,isn't it?! I was the boss but yet I was tensed up like a regular employee.
"ema.." he called as i was about to leave the room.
"yes, Mr yagami? Any problem?"
"Mr karp told me that you worked here till 10:30"
"it was just work and I wasn't tired. I actually had forgotten the time."
"ema..I like your work and the way you do it but if it costs your health then it's not admirable anymore. You should never treat it as a burden otherwise you won't be able to do it. Enjoy it!"
"I'm sorry...I was just so lost..I desperately wanted to complete it."
"ema calm down. You're not accountable to me instead it's funny that I am. So you don't need to apologise. Just make sure you do work only when you're enjoying it. Don't force things,okay." he said with a slight sense of humour. But did I really get hyper?
"hmm." Mr yagami surely acted like a dad. Then I went away from there. Natsume told him after all. Does he really care about me? Is it just because I'm his boss? However, I headed to his room to thank him for yesterday. Before I could step in I heard two unfamiliar female voices along with his voice from inside. I peeped in and saw two really beautiful girls. They were bold and older than me. One of them was Japanese but the other seemed European.
"so ladies shall I consider this deal final. " natsume said in very familiar tone. What pissed me was not the two beautiful ladies but the way he treated them. I admit I've always had an envious attitude but this time it wasn't that only. He talked to them the same way he talks to me.
"well, we have to discuss it more though. " he said as he handed them something.
"well, that could be at dinner." European lady said and I went away.
