Jack, opposed to leaving him be, actually helped Liu back to a better state. He had brought him food and cleaned his wounds.

Just at this moment, Jack was cleaning the cuts and changing the dressing. It was nice to feel the care of someone else after being treated so poorly by his brother.

"You know, I feel good enough to give you my kidney", he half joked.

It was frightening to think of being cut open, but Jack had done quite a bit for him. Liu felt as if that would have been the perfect repayment.

Jack paused, looking up at Liu, his black eyes seeming somewhat kind. A smug smiled passed his lips.

"Don't say things like that. I might just take you up on the offer."

Liu laughed, followed by a series of dreadful coughs. Though he was getting the nutrients he needed now, his immune system was still sort of weak.

"What the hell is this", came a deep voice. "Renewing my toy for me? Good ol' Jack", came the voice in a maniacal tone.

Liu looked fear stricken towards his brother, who had just so casually strolled through the door. Jack didn't glance back once, but continued on with Liu's wounds.

"What do you need", Jack asked.

Jeffrey walked over to them, his shadow looming uncomfortably over Liu. Placing his hands on his hips, he shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh nothing. I mean, I only live here. I should be asking you why you are here. What do you need?"

Jack finished up with Liu, who was eager to leave the scene in fear that his brother would lash out again. Instead he stayed put, watching the scene intently.

"I need nothing from you. In fact I'm leaving."

Jack began walking away, Liu staring at him with mournful eyes. This man may have tackled him down and tried to cut him open, but he felt much more comfortable with him than Jeffrey.

"By the way", he said pausing midway to the door. "I'll be dropping by later this week when he's healed."

Jack turned around, digging something out of his pocket. A pair of dangling keys were pinched between his fingers and suspended in the air. He tossed them over to a shocked Jeffrey, who caught them quickly.

"Liu was kind enough to offer me a kidney. Something you failed to give me", Jack stated bitterly.

Jeffrey shoved the keys into his pocket, staring daggers at Jack. He walked to him with stiff movements, pointing an accusing finger at him.

"He ain't giving you shit. He's mine! Not yours! Organs included."

Jack calmly removed the leathery finger out of his face, staring at Jeffrey with a sullen face.

"Actually. Liu is his own. You don't own him. He made the offer, so I'm going to accept it."

Jeffrey spun around to Liu, anger on his face.

"Tell him the deals off", he shouted. "You aren't giving him jack shit!"

Liu stood up, fist clenched, hatred bubbling inside him. He didn't walk towards Jeffrey, but firmly stood his ground.

"No! Unlike you, he doesn't mind keeping me alive. He undid what you started. The least I could do is give him my kidney!"

Liu was not only shocked by the words coming out of his mouth, but the defiance he was showing towards his brother.

"To hell if you are!"

Jeffrey came at him quickly, attempting a blow to the stomach. Liu dodged, a bit too familiar with his moves.

"Stop! I've had enough of this Jeffrey!"

Jeffrey came at him again, but Liu wasn't prepared this time. In seconds Liu was on the floor, knife to his throat.

"I don't care if you've had enough! You came here for me! You live under my roof. You are mine, end of story. I will do what I goddamn want with you!"

Liu braced for the burning sensation of the knife slicing across his neck, but it never came. A weight was lifted off of him, and he was being pulled to his feet.

"Now Jeffrey. I can't have you ruining my meal again. If you can't take proper care of him, he's coming with me."

Liu looked down at Jeffrey who was pinned under Jack's foot. His eyes were full of rage, ready to rip both their heads off. Liu wasn't even the slightest disturbed by Jack calling him his meal. He was too overwhelmed by the feeling of satisfaction from seeing his brother being beat.

"Haha! You think you can just take him? He'll come back! Even if I have to force him! That's how-"

Jeffrey's rant was cut off by Jack smashing his foot into his face. He maneuvered back an forth, like he was squashing a pesky bug that wouldn't die.

"Thanks", Liu said sheepishly. "Now I really owe you."

He chuckled, following Jack out the door. Was this really happening? First he lived with a sadistic psychopath, and now he was going to spend time with a cannibal. This world was truly unusual.

"Oh, and I don't use anesthetics", Jack said randomly. "So don't think all pain is exempted."

Liu gulped, but tried not to let it bother him.

Considering his options, a little pain to the loss of an organ was way better than be starved and bled out.
