Chapter 10

6 months later-
Barry was still in his coma-like state. A lot of things had changed. Caitlin had finally perfected velocity 9, allowing Jay Garrick to temporarily be a speedster. Oh, sorry, I should introduce him first. He was a former speedster, the flash from earth 2. Earth 2 was a different dimension. In the span of these six months a LOT had changed. Jay had trapped another villainous speedster, Zoom, on Earth 2, after using his steroid-like serum. Cisco had started to develop his powers. The breaches between Earth 1 and Earth 2 had closed, due to Harrison Wells' technical expertise. Iris and Joe found out they had another family member, Iris' brother, and Joe's son. Wally West. Vandal Savage had been killed. The initial team of The Atom, Hawkgirl, White Canary, Captain Cold, Firestorm, and Rip Hunter had now gone after another villain, Kang the Conquerer. Their team had, in fact expanded. Now they had in their ranks, The Arrow, Black Canary, The Red Arrow, and even Kara Zor-el, better known as Supergirl. Diggle had stayed back to keep protecting central city, as Spartan, with the help of Felicity. And Barry was still frozen. The Speedforce was the only thing keeping him alive.

I was back on the field. I used my gloves to send an amplified shockwave through the ground, blasting King Shark off his feet. He got up quickly and jumped away, leaping over and over, in the direction of the pier. I tapped my watch a few times, and I felt myself ripping apart, dissolving. I reappeared, at the pier, to see King Shark streaming through the water. I dipped my finger tips into the water, and let the gloves do the work. Frost spread out, and the ocean started to freeze. And it went faster and faster. I knew my eyes were glowing blue. My other side was being used, even though I had started to repress the personality. Finally when King Shark was trapped in ice, I called Star Labs to come pick him up. And I teleported again.

In Star Labs, I saw Wally West, laying unconscious on the bed.
"What happened?"
I rushed over.
"Velocity 9"
"What?"
"He was coming to Star Labs, looking for Joe. He knows that Joe occasionally works here. And he wasn't recognized by security, so it tried to fire at him. During his 'conflict', vials of velocity 9 fell on him. Basically it introduced a very Speedforce-like substance to him. His body wasn't exactly ready, but neither was Barry's the first time. We don't exactly know what's going to happen."
I looked at Wally, completely shocked. My life had been taking twists and turns everywhere lately. And now this. I shook my head and sat down.
"Okay then."

I walked into cc jitters. I couldn't believe this was happening. Time to face some feelings. I didn't really know why this was hitting me so hard. I didn't really care for Wally. I didn't have many relations with him. But he was cute. And his smile was too. I felt bad for his life without parents. But not in an inferior way. I empathized with him, I understood his decisions. And I thought he was pretty nice, but you just had to get to know him. And...did I have a freaking crush on him? I shook my head trying to clear it, as I ordered my drink.
"Dark roast coffee, black please."
A few minutes later I grabbed my warm coffee, and exited the store. On my way out, I bumped into a man. And my coffee tipped over just a bit. The man exclaimed his apology, and quickly walked away again. People were so rude in this city. I looked back at him... I felt like I recognized him for that brief second.

Back at Star Labs, Wally was still on his bed. Nobody else was here. Then, all of a sudden, his monitor started beeping, and he flatlined. I rushed over to him and felt his pulse. The second I touched his skin, I got shocked away, and knocked onto the floor. My heart was pumping now. The ground around me was getting colder. My vision blurred. Through a haze of frost and wind, I saw Wally sit up. He looked scared. His eyes went purple.
"AGHHGHHHHH"
He became a mirage, steam curling off his skin. Then, in a bright purple and white flash, he was gone.
