My whole 23 years of living I never thought I would make it this far, or even be the strong wife and mother that I am today. From the age 7 I was being thrown from foster home to foster home, but when I was molested by my foster parent at 12 I ran away, I ran and ran until I ended up in another state. Giving oral sex at the age of 12 just so I could have a place to lay my head and have food to eat was never something that I thought that I would have to do. I was homeless at the age of 13, but one day I met this guy -- Elliot, he was so nice to me and I thought that he would be a total jerk since at the time he was 19 years old, he took me in and helped me get on my feet. I went to school and even got a job when I was old enough.
One day, we were chilling at his house and we were so in the moment and we made love -- unprotected. I was eighteen and he was twenty-four. Yes we were dating at the time but neither of us were ready for what came after unprotected sex... a baby. We were both scared out of our mind and even got into minor fights about aborting the baby.
After being close to a miscarriage we got our shit together and decided that we'd keep the baby and I'm so glad we did because my baby girl has brought me so much joy and has given me a reason to live and work harder. Eli and I got married on Sevanah's first birthday and it was such a small but beautiful wedding.
After getting my Master degree in business, I built my own business which is very well known and is very busy.
I'm just happy that my struggle led me to such a great man and that man turned out to be my husband in the end and gave me a beautiful child.
"Babe?" I called out as I walked into the house that me and Elliot shared along with our four year old daughter, Sevanah Riley Cardiea (Sev- Uh- Nah , Car- D- Aye)
