I text Cheryl back saying she can come round in a half hour so I get dressed and put some make-up on and go down stairs Nadine is now back at work so its just me and Justin in the house today I sit in the front room where Justin is playing with his toys
“Justin you remember Cheryl don’t you?” I say
“yeah the pretty lady” he smiles
“yeah that’s her well she is coming round and she says she has a friend for you to play with is that okay?” I say
“I guess so if their nice like Cheryl” he smiles with and continues playing with his toys
15 minutes later there is a knock at the door I go to answer it
“hey babes” I say to her and she hugs me
“hey pet you okay?” she asks
“yeah I’m fine you?” I ask
“yeah I’m good” she smiles
“so who’s this friend for Justin?” I ask with a warm smiles just then I see something behind Cheryl move
“its okay Bella darling this is one of auntie Cheryl’s friends remember the one I was telling you about Kimberley who has a little boy” she says, A little girl steps out from behind Cheryl she has ginger hair and big blue eyes she is so adorable she is holding on to Cheryl’s leg for dear life
“oh hello I’m Kimberley” I say giving her a smile
“H- hello I’m, I’m Bella” the girl says shyly
“well hello Bella would you like to come in with your auntie Cheryl and have a glass of milk?” I say
“yes please” Bella replies I move out of the way and they walk in I walk into the kitchen with them and give Bella a glass of milk
“thank you” she smiles she is sitting on Cheryl’s lap, Cheryl places a kiss on her head while she drinks her milk when she is finished I say
“would you like to meet my son he is younger than you” she looks at Cheryl with a nervous look
“its okay Bella bear he is a nice boy he is 3 years younger than you so you have to be careful with him okay” Cheryl says giving the girl a smile
“ yes please” Bella nods she gets off Cheryl’s lap and takes her hand I walk them through to the front room where Justin is sitting on the floor he looks up when we walk in
“Justin this is Bella she is Cheryl’s Niece say hello” I say going over to him he stands up and walk to Bella
“hello I’m Justin” he says
“hello I’m Bella” she says
“will you play with me?” Justin asks Bella looks at Cheryl and she nods
“yes I would like that” she smiles Justin takes her hand out of Cheryl’s and places it in his own he shows her his toys me and Cheryl walk back into the kitchen we sit down then I ask her
“why did you tell me you had a Niece?” Cheryl laughs when I say this
“she is Nicola’s little girl she was staying with my dad and Sarah while I got over the grieve of losing Nicola see I’m not just her auntie but I’m her god mother so when the time was right I said she would stay with me and now the time has come” Cheryl smiles
“oh right she is beautiful” I say
“I know she looks a lot like her mother” she says I make us a cup of tea and sit back down with her.
“so when will she start school?” I ask
“in about 2 weeks I want her to settle in first you know get used to London” Cheryl smiles
“I think her and Justin will get on well” I say with a smile
“so do I” she says we hear laughter coming from the front room which makes us both smile
“where’s Nadine?” Cheryl asks
“she has gone back to work have you couldn’t time off work?” I say
“yeah I have I want to spend time with Bella and then I’m going back and cutting my hours down so I can take her to school and pick her up” she says
“oh right okay do you want another tea?” I say
“yes babes that would be lovely” she smiles showing off her dimples it makes me smile back
We’re sitting in the front room watching the little ones play Cheryl and Bella have been here for 2 hours now,
“I think we better be off now babes thanks for letting us come round” Cheryl smiles
“its fine babes come round when ever you want” I smile back
“Bella darling we have to go now say bye to Justin and Kimberley” Cheryl says to the little girl
“okay” Bella replies she gets up and hugs Justin which makes me smile and then she walks over to me and gives me a hug and hug her back and place a kiss on her head I walk them to the door and watch them get in the car and drive off, I walk back inside and start doing some dinner.
Cheryl’s POV
I’m in the car driving home when I say to Bella
“Bella darling do you want to go and get some fish and chips?” I turn to look at her and she smile and nods her head so I take a left and make my way to the chip shop.
After eating me and Bella sit in the front room watching a film, half way through I look at her and see she has fallen asleep I gently pick her up in my arms and walk her to the room she will be staying in which is Nicola’s room I’ve changed it a bit for more Bella’s taste I put her in bed with her clothes still on as I don’t wont to wake her up I kiss her on the head and leave the room.
I’m laying in bed and staring at the ceiling thinking about nothing my mind Is blank I turn my head and look at the picture staring back at me I smile its me, Nicola and Bella on her first birthday I remember the day well I let a sigh out and let my mind wonder and I start thinking about Kimberley her eyes are lovely I think and her smile she has big full lips and her hugs are so warm and comforting I imagine what it would be like to kiss those lips then I stop my self what am I thinking I’ve just met her and she is becoming my friend and believe me I need a friend and I don’t want to mess it up and will forget I ever thought about kissing her and get on with stuff as normal I close my eyes and slowly fall asleep
