Chapter 23

I’m sitting in the front room with Nadine and Justin when the door goes I’m guessing its Cheryl I go and answer it I open the door and my guess is right as Cheryl is standing there with Bella on her hip wearing a grey long jumper with leggings and next to her is a short haired blonde which I’m guessing is her step mum
“come in” I say with a smile
“heya pet how are you?” Cheryl says hugging me with one arm as she is still holding Bella
“I’m fine babes how are you Bella?” I say
“I’m okay thank you” she smiles lifting her head from Cheryl’s hair which is hanging on one side of her shoulder
“Kimba with is me step mam Sarah, Sarah this is Kimberley” Cheryl says
“hey darling I’ve heard a lot about you from our chez” she winks I blush and say
“like wise”
“I must say now that Nadine is a bit sensitive today she says she feels fat and ugly so yeah beware!” I whisper
“aww the poor thing I will see her now come on Bella lets see Diney” Cheryl says and goes to the living room
“do you want a drink babes ?” I ask Sarah
“yea please babes” she replies
“tea?” I ask
“aye that’s fine” we go to the kitchen and she takes a seat at the table while I do the tea
“so Cheryl tells me she met you at the bench?” Sarah says
“err yeah we did I was there thinking about my ex boyfriend he died 2 nearly 3 years ago” I say
“aww I’m sorry Cheryl didn’t tell me that did she tell you about my daughter Nicola?” Sarah says
“yes she did I’m sorry it must be hard losing a daughter” I say with a smile
“it is but it is no harder than losing anyone you love ” she says
“Cheryl told me time helps you heal she told me a lot of things when we first met she was really nice still is if you take away the sarcasm” I laugh a little   
“yeah the queen of sarcasm that one is i tell ya she was the same when she was a teenager” Sarah laughs I pass Sarah her tea and we go to the living where I find Nadine standing walking around
“babes you look fine stunning even” Cheryl says
“HA as if I’m fat I have to wear maternity jeans I do NAT look stunning and I cant see me feets” Nadine says with tears Cheryl goes over to her and hugs her
“babes your not fat your pregnant you have your little girl growing inside you little Hayden” Cheryl says
“I know I’m just having one of me days” Nadine sniffs and laughs a little
“its okay babes” Cheryl says and they sit down
“Justin we have a new guest come say hello babes” I say to my little boy Justin looks over and walks to Sarah
“Hello I’m Justin” he smile
“Hello aren’t you a cutie I’m Sarah I’m Cheryl step Mum” Sarah says Justin smiles again and hugs her and walks back over to Bella where they are playing with her teddy Candy and Justin’s bear flops
“Sarah this is Nadine she is also Bella’s social worker” Cheryl says
“oh right hiya babes I’m Sarah” Sarah introduces herself
“hey babes how are you how long you down for?” Nadine asks
“I’m fine a but tired out from that little madam over there I’m down for 5 more days then I’m going home cant leave Chezza’s dad alone for to long he would burn the house down like Cheryl” she says with a wink to Cheryl 
“I’m not that bad in the kitchen” Cheryl says
“you burnt toast earlier babes” Sarah says
“anyone could do that” Cheryl says with a pout
“aww babes not everyone is made to be good in the kitchen” I say with a laugh
“yeah okay just because you’re a pro in the kitchen” Cheryl pokes her tongue out at me I laugh and pat her on the knee
“nan are you taking me to school on Monday with Chezzie?” Bella asks
“yeah I am babes don’t worry” Sarah says giving the girl a smile
“okay” Bella says nodding
“has your little boy started nursery yet?” Sarah asks
“yeah he started last Friday and he is going back on Monday and I’m starting back at work on the Wednesday so I’m looking forward to that” I smile
“you didn’t tell me that babes” Cheryl has with a frown she looks so cute when she frowns
“I’m sorry babes I only sorted it out the other day” I say rubbing her knee I don’t know why but when she is near I have to touch her in some way its weird
“which means I will be all alone in this big house with my huge bump!” Nadine says
“aww babes if you want I will see you when I’m on lunch” Cheryl says
“yeah I would like that plus I’m sure Kimberley wont be at work all day will you?” Nadine says
“no I wont I will be in from 9 till 11 I’m doing classes in the morning now instead of to kids after school” I say
“why did you change?” Cheryl asks me
“coz it’s a better time slot” I smile
“oh okay then there fair enough” Cheryl says taking a sip of her tea
“AH!” Bella screams and runs to Cheryl jumping on her lap nearly knocking the cup out of her hand
“what babes what’s wrong” Cheryl asks
“there’s a big spider on the floor” Bella says burying her head in Cheryl’s hair
“what where on the floor” Cheryl says panicked lifting her feet up automatically
“are you scared of a small spider babes?” I laugh at her
“they are horrible and nasty things eurrghhh” Cheryl says making a face which is quite comical
“oh for fecking sake it’s a wee spider” Nadine says and goes over to it and kills it with her slipper making a noise when it hits the floor making Justin jump a little as he was looking at the spider   
“there it is dead gone” Nadine says and sits back down putting her slipper back on
“I would hate to get I a fight with you if you slap as hard as you hit that spider” Cheryl says with a serous face Nadine just laughs
“Nadine cant hit for her life she has a really bad aim if she went to hit you and you were in front of a wall she would hit the wall” I say throwing a cheeky smile at Nadine but she just opens her mouth in mock shock she know I’m right
“so you cant run for your life or hit” Cheryl says
“wow you really need to learn to do either one of them what if someone ran up to you with a weapon you wouldn’t be able to hit them away and they would catch you if you ran” Cheryl laughs out loud
“oh sod off!” Nadine says jokily
“you know we love you really” I say blowing her a kiss
“I hate you Walsh” she says I just shake my head
“you's lot a pair aren’t you” Sarah laughs
“yep but I wouldn’t change it I have friends for life in this room” Cheryl smiles causing me and Nadine to smile at her
“awww you getting soppy chez” Sarah says ruffling Cheryl’s hair
“argh get off man!” Cheryl says patting Sarah’s hand away
“love ya chick” Sarah says and kisses her noisily on the cheek
“ewww Sarah that was sloppily ” Cheryl laughs
“oh is that the time its past Bella bears bed time” Cheryl says as soon as she’s says this Bella ‘s head shots round to look at her she has a pout in place
“can we stay a little longer pleasssseee auntie Chezzie” she begs
“no sorry babes you need to go to bed” Cheryl says getting up Sarah does the same we all hug each other and I walk them to the door Cheryl turns around and is inches from my face I can feel her breath on my face the closeness feels nice
“errr bye babes see you soon yeah” Cheryl says and places a kiss on my cheek I hug her again and watch her get in her car and she drives off I close the door and I feel disappointed I felt like she was going to kiss me on the lips and I wanted her to, what’s going on with me? I walk back into the living room pick Justin up get him ready and put to bed and I’m thinking about Cheryl and how would her lips feel against mine.
