~Chapter 12~

I wake up in the arms of my mate, we both hear sobbing. I get up and run out into the hallway, when I see my mom crying. I ask," mom what's wrong?" She looks up and hugs me tight, Robert walks over to us, mom says," I thought I had lost you, like I lost your father." I say," mom it's okay it was just a dream, go back to bed."

She nods and walk back into her room, I crawl back into my bed. Eli asks," everything okay?" I nod and he holds me close and I just stare at the wall. I understand how my mom feels, I watched my best friend die right in front of me. Tears prick loose from my eyes and fall. I pull out the cross necklace and whisper," I wish you was still here daddy."

I cry for what seems like an hour and then Eli says," baby tell me what's wrong." I say," I am fine." "Lies, you're crying." I smile and say,"my mom said that she had a dream that she lost me and my brother like she did my dad." He says," I'm sorry." He holds me tighter.

I never got out of bed except to go see what was wrong with my mother. I then feel my phone vibrate on my bed beside of me. Unknown Number. "Hello?" "Amber?" "Yes, uhm who am I speaking with?" "Oh thank god, David." My whole world just shatters like that. David? The guy who I remember breaking me. Ruining my love for the world around me except the quiet forest. "Look, I know what I done was wrong and over 100 years ago, but I hear you have a mate. Congratulations, but uh... end it with him." "What? No. You can't just destroy my heart and then tell me to leave my mate." "If you don't I-I swear I will ki-kill him." Click.

It was David I know that, but what he was saying made no sense. One he told me he would never contact me again and two his voice sounded a bit unsure. I get up, not caring that my hair was in a crappy pony tail and I had on Eli's shirt and my sweatpants, I slip on my vans and race out the door. I run to Robert's room and say," track the phone that this number came from." Robert is good with technical stuff, no it did not come with his Vampire powers.

Eli walks in and says," hey beautiful I was looking for you." I glance at him, he walks back over and asks," what are you two doing?" I say," before I explain don't take this the wrong way." He nods, I say," I am hunting down my ex." He stiffens and asks," David?" "Yep that would be the one." His eyes changes from a soft color to a darker color. I say," he called me and said for me to break up with yo-" "Why so he can have you?" "I don't know, but his voice sounded a bit unsure as if someone was making him do it." His eyes change back to a softer color and he says," okay." I peck his lips and Robert says," got it." I look at the screen and study the address.

I run out of the door and towards the address. One thing about Vampires, we don't forget easily. I run up to the place, noticing a really old mansion. Eli soon pops up beside of me, I ask," what the hell are you doing?" He says," I don't trust you to go here alone." I roll my eyes and walk up to the window. I see David tied to a chair, Werewolves surround him, and their leader Stephen. I thought he was dead? Ugh, Eli asks," what the hell?" I sigh and say," Reincarnation."

I hear Stephen say," any minute now, your ex and the Vampire princess will walk through those doors and we will get her and I will force her to marry me or I will kill you." David says," well then you may have got the wrong ex." Stephen growls at him, I look around for a way to get up to the roof. Eli says," you can turn into a bat, it's not that hard." Eli teaches me, I run towards the house and turn into a bat, I go up to the roof and then I look through the sun roof.
