Raira Academy... A month after.
"President! Where am I suppose to put the chalk box", one student asked. "At the hole at the side of the board", Rai answered. "Pres! Where are we going to hang this curtains?", another asked. "At the rooftop", Rai answered. "Pres, are you going to watch us for the drama fest?", One asked. "I'll try my best to catch up", Rai bowed. After class, Rai leaned on her desk and rested for a while. "I wonder how she was able to do all of this", Rai sighed. Someone knocked on the door. "You looked tired in there", Hino noticed. "Life is good when someone needs you. That was a line for Aoi", Hino entered the room and left an energy drink at Rai's desk. "More power! ", Hino patted her shoulders.
Rai went into the drama fest and watched as well. She entered her room and dove. She's with the same room and Inoue. "That was once Kizutani's bed", Inoue suddenly spoke. Rai was startled and sat straight. "That place was always lonely", Inoue looked at Rai. "What do you mean?", Rai asked. "Kizutani always comes late and always early to go out", Inoue reported. Rai sighed and tried to call Aoi. There were no answers. Another day came with busy things to do.
Physical Education Class.
"Kizutani! Go fetch us some water", their Pe teacher called out. "Sensei, Kizutani is no longer here. I will do the job ", Rai raised her hand. "Are you sure you can?", the teacher asked. "Boys. Go and help her", their teacher commanded. "Eih, we have to walk that far. Kizutani will do that stuff herself", one complained. "Get working!", their teacher shouted. While walking, Misaki, one of the boys tapped Rai's head. "You can tell us if you're getting tired. Presidents got some tasky things so you can always approach me", Misaki smiled. "Thank you. But then... Aoi will never do that if she was here. She doesnt want to share the burden of the responsibility she took", Rai smiled back. "What a reliable person. Then do your best", Misaki encouraged.
Samezuka High...
The next day.
"We have a new student. I hope you'd deal well with him",their adviser announced. Souske entered. Rin's eyes widened.
Break at the school's benches.
"Its been a long time!", Rin pushed Souske. "Five years, right?", Souske gave a fistbump. "Why did you transfer this time of year?", Rin asked. "Shouldnt I be the one to ask? You also transferred out during 6th grade because of those Iwatobi guys", Souske teased. Rin sticked his tongue out and sat beside Souske. "Seriously? You're studying in a powerhouse swimming school in Tokyo, werent you?", Rin asked. "Yes... But then. I wanted to spend the rest of high school here in my hometown", Souske answered. "Dont tell me you already quited swimming!!??", Rin stood up. Souske was silent for a moment. "I got scouted", Souske gave a thumbs up. "That was cool", Rin praised and bumped on him.
After school at the gymn
"Gather around", Rin called their attention. "Joining us will be Yamazaki Souske. He's one of the top 10 butterfly swimmer in the country. Learn from him", their club adviser announced. "I'll show you around", Rin led the way around. "How are you, Rin?", Souske asked. "There were times that I stumbled and fell but then there were certain people who helped me back", Rin narrated. Sousked nodded to show he is listening. After a while, Souske removed his jacket and stood on the platform. "Woah! As expected to a top 10 swimmer's body", Nitori commented. Souske looked down on him with a scary look. Nitori stepped back. "Nice to meet you", Souske gave a smile. Nitori sighed and smiled back. He dove and made his way out of the water. "He's fast!", Nitori stood in awe. Training ends and the rest of the members drained the pool. Rin supervised and waited until everyone is out.
Hospice... After training
Rin peeked and saw a magenta head caressing Megumi's hair. "Then one day, the prince decided to look for Cinderella with the use of the glass slipper", Rai narrated. Megumi held unto her arms while listening. After a while, Megumi got sleepy and Rai went outside the room. Rin was waiting at the living room. "You've been coming a lot", Rin noticed. Rai sat opposite to her. "Do you have any idea where Aoi is?", Rai asked. Rin shook his head. "Mira-san called me a while ago. Her body systems are deteriorating... She was always looking for Aoi... Darn, where in the world is she?", Rai clenched her fist. "And you were the ones cleaning her mess", Rin sighed. "You're the one who is here right now. She might have left some responsibilities that you have to continue", Rin stood up. "I'll walk you at your school", Rin invited.
They walked down the road and passed by group of boys. "Oh, this was the guy that Kizutani saved back then", one tilted his head. "I will be calling the police if you create a commition", Rai warned. "No need. We're not in the hypes of doing such things", the group of boys pass through them. "What is Aoi doing with those kind of people?", Rai asked. Rin shrugged his shoulders. They ended at Raira Academy. "Thank you", Yoshima bowed and entered the school.
Rai entered the her room and sat at her bed. She shook her head and looked at her phone. "Megumi only have few days left, arent you going to visit her? I'll let you go for not being able to explain why you're not here with us but the girl needs you", Rai mailed. The next day, Rai was called at the faculty to finalize class reports. "Yoshima-san, you can do better than this. You have been with Kizutani, right? I bet you noticed how freely she opens her heart in doing the reports... Lets put it this way. You dont need detailed information ony our class reports. Just write what is in your heart and that will be enough", her class adviser suggested. Rai and her group went at the rooftop. "It feels nostalgic. First, Aoi was gone and now you're too busy with so many things", Yui stretched her limbs. "Sorry guys. I should have known that it will be this tasky", Rai apoligized. "Aoi's the president, she's also our friend, Shiro's friend, Rin's guidance, Kei-san's guard, Megumi's playmate and Mira-san's apprentice", Nami counted on her fingers. "What are you trying to point out?", Rai clenched her fist. "Ah...nothing really", Nami answered. "Sorry that I'm not an energetic person as she was!!! Sorry that I have my own limitations!!!", Rai shouted. "Calm down, Nami didnt mean it that way", Yui patted her shoulders. "No! All of you are still clinging on to her... All of you are seeing her shadows on me that is why you expect me to do things she can!", Rai stepped back. "Why are you talking in that way? I just want to say that you're amazing in catching that up!!", Nami shouted back. "Stop, the two of you.. If someone sees you here, you'll both get suspended", Hino went in between. Rai furrowed her brow and ran away from the group.
Getting compared is really a painful experience.
Grow up guys... Humans are unique just the way they are.
Dont expect people to do the task others can.
