#Chapter 6: Truth

Competition Hall.
"Faster, we might miss Matsuoka-san's freestyle!!!", Yui pulled the rest of the group. "Arent we here to cheer for Shiro and the others?", Rai sighed. "How about our own school?", Aoi chuckled. They walked at the coridor and went inside the indoor pool's watching area. "Go! Go! Matsuoka-san!!!!", Yui, Nami and Hino shouted in unison. The match started with a backstroke relay. It was Makoto's win followed by Momo. Next was breakstroke and butterfly which Nagisa and Rei was able to pass through. Relay comes next. Rin and Haru stood beside each other at the platforms. "Let's have fun, haru", Rin looked at the blue haired guy beside him. "Back to you", Haru positioned himself. They ended up at the same time. Time for the final match.  Rin looked at Souske who stood in front of him. "Forget what I said before, Rin. I wanted to change my perspective about relay", Souske suddenly spoke.

Last Night outside the Gymn of Samezuka Academy
"You've always been fond of relays", Souske commented. "And you always hated the thought of having relay", Rin commented back. "Back then, I was sure I told you that relay is not a wonderful thing. You share the victory together and the like...and I dont want that. Call me selfish or what. I was just furious that we lost that time", Souske explained. "Why are bringing out that topic?", Rin asked. "Rin, allow me to be your friend. Being your friend means experiencing the same joy together. I wanted to find answers to me question and swimming in relay might be an avenue for me to look for answers", Souske begged. "Of course, you are in!", Rin gave a thumbs up.

Present.
"Lets get it on!", Momo shouted. "Oh! Momo dont you dare embarass the name of Mikoshibas!!!", Seijuro, his brother shouted from the bench. "Captain?", Rin raised his eyebrow. "Of course I will be here to support you guys" Seijuro crossed his arms. The relay started. All eyes were concentrated to Samezuka and Iwatobi. Iwatobi won but Samezuka also advances to Regionals. "Did you see that? Ni-san?!!!", Momo boasted. "Ah!", Seijuro shouted back. Shiro, Tousuka, and Tanaka also advanced to regionals. Hino and the rest waited at the bench of the boys to finish their shower. "I'll be getting something to drink", Aoi excused herself. She went into the coridor and drew a soda on the vending machine. Souske was also passing by the coridors. "Yamazaki-san!", Aoi called out. The tall man stopped and tilted his head. "Kizutani here!", Aoi waved her hands. "Long time no see. I heard Rin and the others were looking for you", Souske informed. "Yah but I came back to life", Aoi passed the soda to Souske and pulled out another for her. "Can we talk outside?", Aoi asked. Souske and the blonde went out of the competition hall.

"That was a good game", Aoi stretched her hands as they sat down the bench. "What is it that you wanted to talk about?", Souske asked. "It is actually regarding Kei-san", Aoi opened. Sousked sighed and looked up the sky. "Dont bother yourself. I also tried to call him back but he never responded. I dont know what relationship you had together but I suggest you to quit", Souske said with a straight face. "Giving up is not my thing, Yamazaki-san", Aoi looked at Souske's light blue eyes. "Do you know why he stopped swimming?", Aoi asked. "Problems with prodigy and genius", Souske answered. "What do you mean?", Aoi raised her eyebrow. "He got bored with his life and threw away everything. Back in middle High, Kei and I were always in a competition. I swim for butterfly and he swam for every medley. He's got the hypes before. Until...one day, no one ever dared to race him in one of the medleys", Souske narrated. "Now I'm dealing a guy with someone who got bored with his life",Aoi sighed. "But then... I wish you luck", Souske stood up and walked away. 

Black Spade afternoon.
Aoi changed into a black striped sweatshirt and jeans. She entered the bar and inhaled different kind of chemicals. "Aoi, welcome back", some of them greeted. Yuko's eyes widened. "Havent you learn your lessons? Kizutani?", one of the girls  pushed Aoi's shoulder. Aoi had a scary look in her eyes that made the girl step back. "What? You want to fight?", she prepared a bat. Aoi swing her hands on the side and sighed. "Yuko-san! Got any idea where Kei-san is?", Aoi shifted in a jolly mode and ran towards Yuko. The black haired woman lowered her head and pointed upstairs. Aoi went upstairs and saw Kei lying down the couch. Kei is still on his uniform. "You're attending school. Wah!!! I wanted to cry", Aoi sat beside Kei. "I went their to withdraw", Kei informed. Aoi stood up and slammed the table. "Dont you kid around like that", Aoi still smiled. "You'd kill me if I drop out", Kei sat straight. "I watched the prefecture. I saw Yamazaki-san. Are you sure that he's your student? He's really good", Aoi said with glee in her voice. "I see. You met that guy. I wonder why he's still swimming", Kei yawned. "I also wanted to see you in the waters", Aoi said in a low voice. "If you're going to open that topic, I will let them drag you out of this place again", Kei said in a calm voice. "Seriously. Its not yet too late. Fukudani was able to enter the regionals. You can play at the relay", Aoi explained. "Aoi!", Kei called her name. "Kei-san.... Its not too late. Why are you wasting those limbs?!", Aoi shouted back. Kei accidentally slapped her face. He felt sorry for it and cleared his throat. "I didnt mean that", Kei stood and held Aoi's arms.  "I wont give up. I know you still love the waters. Arent you the one who taught me not to make decisions that I will regret. Dont you regret that you're not doing the thing you love the most?", Aoi asked. Kei's eyes widened and dragged Aoi downstairs. He pushed her outside the doors. "Let me speak", Aoi tried to enter again. "One words is enough. Leave!", Kei closed the doors. Some of Kei's gang member are waiting outside the bar. "Oh, Miss Blonde is here", one boy hummed. Aoi bit her lips and sighed. "Shall we play tag? If we'll catch you. We can chop your body and sell it", one of the boys chuckled. 'Oh come on. Lets be friends", Aoi stepped closer. They prepared weapons. Aoi looked for escape route but wasnt able to find anything.

"Havent you learn your lessons? We already broke your bones before the summer vacation", one sighed. "Giving up is not my style", Aoi picked an iron bar. "Shall we have a little game?", Aoi had a smirk on her face.

Raira Academy the Next day...
The students flocked around Aoi. "What happened to your face?", Hino asked. Aoi wore a mask covering her lower part of her face. "I had a lot of pimples that grew last night", Aoi whined. "Dont you think that those worms are the cause?", Yui asked. Aoi laughed and looked at Rai who is watching her from a distance. Aoi waved at her. Rai was startled and averted her stares.

Flashback...
A while ago at the faculty room.
"I heard that your Mom and your Dad are influencial people. You have to prove people that you can also do your best", Veena adviced.

Flashback end.

Veena entered the room and wrote on the board. "Examination Week". "Gwah! Examination week. It means we cannot go out of the campus", Aoi whined. "Do you have any problem about that?", Veena asked. "Uhmm... I was just amazed that this school is really strict about examination days", Aoi answered. "You're just upset that you wont be able to do your stuff", Asahi teased. "Is that so, Miss Kizutani?", Veena shot a glare at the blonde.

Geez, I've got a lot of homeworks and I just hate having take home works.
