Rin's Room... After class
Starting today, he's in the same room as Souske. Rin sits at his bed at the lower bunks. "You've been reading that notebook since yesterday", Souske noticed. "One of my friends.... Megumi... Died", Rin said in a sad voice. Souske nodded and lied down his bed at the upper bunks.
"Dear Diary,
Today starts the summer vacation. I was hoping I could spend more with Ne-san but she seems to be going back to Hawai. She visited me for the whole day. She taught me how to make a bird using papers. They were all pretty. I hope I can bring them with me when I die. After teaching me how to make birds, she cooked an omelet for me. I never thought she would burn the whole egg. I always get lessons when I'm with her. She always tells me...not to regret even one second of my life. Mira-san is already checking our room. I've got to sleep."

"Dear Diary,
Ne-san went to Hawai but there wasnt a day that she didnt send a mail. Attached to this mails are photos in her place. She has a wonderful family. The picture I glued here is a photo of Ne-san and her family. She's the only child like me. I wonder if she was lonely back when she was a kid like me. Ne-san sang a lullaby for me and I was able to sleep. Mom and Dad came to visit me. We ate at the city and watched a movie. There are no places like home. I may not be at our house but being with my parents is enough"

Rin accidentally detached Aoi's photo with her parents at the beach. He closely looked at it. "They doesnt seems to have resemblances", Rin commented. Rin continued to read.
"Dear Diary,
It's in the middle of the summer and I already felt my body have weird pains. Rai-san visits me every now and then and plays with me. "

Rin continued reading until he reached the last page of the notebook.
"Dear Diary,
I was shocked to see a familiar figure standing next to the door. She was quietly watching me. My feets are no longer useful even if my blood is rushing to give her a tight hug. I missed her so much. She slowly entered and sat at the chair next to my bed. "Hi there. Megumi-chan", Ne-san patted my head. Her hair grew longer and she also grew taller. "Do I look ugly right now?", I asked. Ne-san shook her head. "The moment I first saw you and how you look right now are still the same. You are still a great child with a bright personality and cheerful smiles", Ne-san answered while caressing my hair. I told her how thin I've become and how often it was for me to use pain relievers. "I'm scared", I admitted and held her arms. Ne-san was just calmly listening to me. I told her how frustrated I was in fearing death. I'll soon be facing it but I wad scared. "It's not a crime to fear death, it is a proof that you were alive and you are a human", she squeezed my hand. In my surprise, it wasnt me who was crying. Ne-san's eyes were filled with tears. She leaned on my bed and started to cry so hard. Never had I imagined her crying that much. "Sorry...sorry that I am crying right now", Ne-san apologized. I listened to her sobs and sniffs until she was finished. "I'll be watching over you, Ne-san", I told her. She wiped her tears and hugged me tight. "Being with you makes me....want to beg for longer life", was my last statement when Ne-san leaves.
Ps. I've got the feeling that I can no longer write for the next days.
Ne-san... I really love you and was really thankful we met after all.
Rin sighed and closed the notebook. "Done reading?", Souske asked. Rin wiped his tears and went to get some fresh air at the window. He let out his head and looked at the stars. "They're closer this time of year", Rin opened. "I'm sure that little girl wants to see you all moving on and doing your best", Souske tried to sympathize.
Raira Girl's Dorm
Rai's Room.
She dialed Aoi's number but she wasnt answering. Rai threw her phone and covered her ears. Inoue entered the room. "What's with that noise?", Inoue asked. "Did that alarm you?", Rai collected the pieces of her phone and dropped it at the table. She lied down and looked at the ceiling. "Why cant she read the situation?", Rai asked. "Who... Kizutani?", Inoue asked. "She's been running all her life. Do you think she's really that strong?", Inoue asked. "What do you know about her, Kushina?", Rai looked at the gloomy girl. "Go at Black Spade. You might find something in there", Inoue answered. "Black Spade? Isnt that a place where bad guys are", Rai thought. "You might be curious what she's doing in there?", Inoue asked. "If you never knew.... Kizutani's former friends are also gathered in that place", Inoue informed. Rai looked outside her windows.
The next day at Class 2-1.
Rai approached Hino, Yui, and Nami who are currently chit chatting. "Guys, I'm sorry for what I did. I just want to inform you that today will be Megumi's burial. If you'd like, let's catch Aoi. We're not going to use Megumi but we'll use this opportunity", Rai said in a low voice. "Geez Rai. We cannot hear you", Hino teased. "I'm sorry! Okay?" Rai said in irritation. They had a group hug. "We were tired waiting, idiot", Yui slightly punched her Rai's sides. The laughed together.
Megumi's Burial
As usual, everyone was wearing black. Rai looked around and saw Rin. The red-head raised his head and met eyes with Rai. After the burial, Rin approached Rai. "I expected you to be here", Rin stood beside Rai under the tree. "I came here with high hopes that I'll be seeing her today", Rai sighed. "Expectations are railway for heartbreaks", Rin quoted. Rai looked at Rin and averted her stares. "You've gotten thinner and paler", Rin noticed. "I never thought Aoi had a lot of burdens on her shoulders", Rai opened. "Every time I look at her, I sometimes feel hurt...hurt because she always acts carefree", Rai continued. "You dont have to do it if you dont want to", Rin patted her shoulders. Rai nodded and left. Everyone started to scatter and go home. Rai and the others stayed until it rain hard. They had no choice but to ran towards the station.
A girl in knee-high black dress and white cardigan. Her blonde hair tied and hidden under a cap. She placed a bouquet in front of Meg's grave. The rain dropped in her pale skin. After a while, she knelt down and hugged Meg's grave. She gripped on her chest and cried herself out. Though there were no sounds heard, her heart was screaming in deep pain. It was almost an hour when she was drenched in the rain. The sky calmed down and just gave drizzles. She sat in front of the grave and pulled her knees close to her. The blonde felt the raindrop stopped running on her. She looked up and saw an umbrella. "I'm deeply moved that you still came here inspite of the weather", Rin commented. "Sorry... I'm not in the mood to talk right now", Aoi sighed and stretched her arms ."I had Megumi's diary. Levi-san told me that Megumi wants to give it to you", Rin informed. "Thank you for delievering it", Aoi stood up and fixed her clothes. "You're drenched in the rain. Shall we go somewhere to dry it up?", Rin invited.
