He tells his dad he's going to college,
Ends up going to a dingy room
Dotted with pretty girls in with their
Tops low like his mood.

He lights up a cigarette and
Exhales a blow of smoke.
He wishes he could in the same way
Blow his troubles far away.

Teachers say he's irresponsible.
Therapists say he's a lost cause.
Parents have given up on him.
Like they were even worth the title.

And there he is among
Other men and boys and girls.
But in his heart and soul
He feels all alone.

Hope is far-fetched,
Wishes never granted.
Every time he tries he climbs higher
Only to come crashing down.

This is the tale of the boy
Who sits at the back of your class.
Hate is a feeling he belongs to while
Girls go gaga over him.

They think it's hot
For him to be aloof and alone.
They don't understand how deep
His scars and wounds run.

They think they can relate
They've read all the bad boy books.
Tattoos inked on his body are a lot
More than a mere pattern.

He hates the attention but craves it,
His mind is drifting to places,
Of how his dad must be beating
The woman who gave birth to him.

His hands ball into fists,
The veins distinctly popping,
He rushes out without a word,
To clamber away from his demons.

-a boy who desperately wants someone to understand him but won't speak up because of the overwhelming crowd of girls that annoy the shit out of him.
