A/N I already accidentally posted part of this before (as April's Pregnant) but this is the expanded and completed version.

April laid on the couch with her feet on the arm rest. She heard a knock on the door and sat up.

"April?" A familiar voice called from the doorway. "Hey, just stay lying down."

She rested her head down again, "Jackson what are you doing here?"

"Well you weren't at work today, so I was worried," he explained walking up to her.

"That's not your job anymore," she sighed.

Jackson sat on the floor beside her head, "it will always be my job April, and your pregnant with my child so it's definitely my job."

"Sorry," she whispered, "I was just feeling super nauseous today I couldn't even get out of bed this morning without throwing up on the floor."

"Well I'm here to help you," he said standing up grabbing the bag he placed on the island. He grabbed a spoon from the drawer and walked back to April.

He opened a carton and handed it to April, "broccoli soup?"

He nodded, "I know how much you loved this stuff when you were pregnant with Samuel."

She smiled and grabbed the spoon, and took a bite, "mmm, this is delicious." She scooped more on the spoon and offered it to Jackson. He ate off the spoon, "where did you get it?"

"That little bakery down the street a way," he said.

"The one with those amazing jelly things?" April asked.

He shook his head, "the one with the best bagels ever."

"Well best soup too then," April chuckled. She looked at Jackson, "so how are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine," he said simply looking down at his hands.

April gave him a look, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner Jackson. You understand that right?"

Jackson nodded, "yeah I get it. I just, I wish you told me, I wouldn't have signed the papers if-"

"See Jackson," she interrupted, "this is why I didn't tell you sooner, it shouldn't have changed the fact that you wanted a divorce. You weren't happy in the marriage anymore a baby shouldn't change that."

Jackson sighed, "I just, I wish it was different."

"Me too," April whispered as she placed the soup on the coffee table.

"I really thought we would make it," Jackson said.

"Me too," April said again feeling tears building up in her eyes. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath placing her hands on her stomach. "Well I'm 15 weeks so our baby is the size of an apple." She smiled lifting up her shirt and rubbing her stomach.

April suddenly gasped sitting up, "what's wrong?" Jackson asked instantly sitting beside her on the couch.

"I just, the baby moved," April said, tears escaping her eyes.

"Why are you crying that's a good thing," Jackson asked placing his hand on her stomach as well.

April nodded, "no, I know it's just, I never felt Samuel move this early, well not really at all actually." She started crying as she placed her hand on top of Jackson's that was already there. "I should have known something was wrong."

"Hey April, April don't blame yourself, you couldn't have known." He said giving her hand a gentle reassuring squeeze, "it was completely unforeseen."

April placed her head on Jackson's shoulder, and he placed his other arm around her shoulder. So they sat on the couch, Jackson's one hand sandwiched between April's on her slow growing belly.

April decided to break the comfortable silence that settled between them, "I'm having my first ultrasound tomorrow, at 2 o'clock."

"This late?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah," April said, "I couldn't bring myself to make an appointment, I kept thinking about the last time I had a regular ultrasound," she explained thinking back to the day life pulled the carpet out from under her feet.

Jackson nodded, "okay, I'll be there." He glanced at his watch, "I should get going. I have an early surgery."

April nodded, "okay." He stood up from the couch, "thanks for the soup."

"No problem," he smiled, "if you need anything, April I mean anything, let me know, okay?"

April smiled, "okay."

Jackson looked at her and took a deep breath, he quickly bent down and kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight Jackson," she called as he walked towards the door.

Jackson opened the door, "goodnight April."
