Movie Night

A/N Cannon within season 8

April plopped down on the couch, she had a long day. None of the residents were listening to her, which she was used to at this point. She switched on the TV and started flipping through the channels.

She stopped on A Walk To Remember, she selected the movie and smiled at the fact it just started. She stood up and walked to the kitchen, she grabbed popcorn and placed it in the microwave.

She quickly walked back to the living and quickly paused the movie. She walked back to her room and changed into big pajamas bottoms and a tank top. She pulled her hair back into a messy bun.

She heard the microwave beep and walked back to the kitchen. She pulled open the bag and poured it in a bowl. She grabbed a soda from the fridge and sat back on the couch then she grabbed a blanket. She played the movie and stuffed some popcorn in her mouth. This is the best way to spend Valentines day she thought.

April wiped her tears with a tissue, 'Landon I'm sick.' She heard the door open and looked up. She covered her face with her blanket.

"Oh god Jackson, I thought you would be out later," exclaimed from under the blanket. He chuckled and walked towards her.

He grabbed a handfull of popcorn and sat on the couch next to her, "what? Go out with Karev and my Ex? On Valentines day? No thank you."

April shrugged from beneath the blanket, "I guess."

'I have leukemia' April whined. Jackson laughed and plopped a kernel in his mouth. He pulled the blanket off her head, "it's fine I've seen you at worse times."

April laughed and sprawled the blanket and his lap as well. He smiled and kicked off his shoes. He slid closer to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. She curled her feet next to her side.

"Do you ever think about them?" April whispered.

Jackson looked down at her, "all the time."

"Me too," she grabbed a kernel of popcorn and placed it in her mouth, "Reed had pretty big crush on him."

Jackson jaw dropped, "what?" He asked, "Charles had the biggest crush on her."

"Really? She always said she hid it because she was afraid he didn't feel the same way." April explained.

"Wow, I bet their together now," he said.

"You think?" She asked resting her head on his shoulder.

He nodded, "I do." A tear slid down April's cheek and she quickly wipped it away.

"I miss them."

"Me too," he whispered.

They both sat there in silence watching the movie. Jackson, on occasion would watch movies like this with April, and she would watch his action movies. Jackson took a sip of April's soda, she smacked his chest and rolled her eyes.

A half hour later, the credits started rolling and April was fast asleep on Jackson's lap. He smiled at his sleeping friend. He clicked off the TV, April slowly stood up and took her in his arms.

He walked down the hall and to her bed room. He opened the door and carried her to the bed. Jackson pulled down the covers and placed her on the bed.

April turned on her side, she looked so peaceful. So stress free, he hardly saw her like this, especially since the boards were just a couple months away.

He smiled at his best friend and turned towards the door. He quietly closed the door and walked to his bedroom. Overall this was a pretty great valentine's day.

So what about that episode last night! Heart breaking but really cute. April's new haircut is amazing! That hug gave me heart problems! I love the episode!
