Unexpected ways

Lunastar's POV

As I wake next to my sister, I have a leery feeling that we're being watched. As I look to my right, I can tell Brokenstar feels the same way without her even speaking. "I'll look around the trees, you take the underbrush", she said quietly as she leapt into the nearest oak tree. Only after moments of carefully peering through the the brambles and ferns of the area I find a dark tom with white jagged rings around his pelt. His eyes are exactly like my sister's and I can't explain it, but I feel like I know him. "Brokenstar!", I yowl to the skies. Seconds later she whips out of nowhere like usual, but her fur is on end as she bounds towards the dark tom. "No, you won't take her too. I won't let you...", she screeches at him before pouncing on him. He easily dodges and chuckles darkly, "Thought I taught you better on that. Ya know... the whole charge thing. Tsk tsk Brokenstar, you're getting a tad behind.", he taunted, still making no move. How does he know Brokenstar? "I see Snowstar already beat me to you. But that's fine. Just great...", he paused to lick a paw and swipe it around his white jagged ear. "Who are you, and what do you want with us? We've done no wrong, for this is not your territory.", I growl as fiercely as I can. "Why nothing of course, I just wanted to visit my family. It's so lonely in the Dark Forest, ya know...".

I gasp, this must be the shadow Snowstar was talking about. His murderer, his own brother, this is Darkheart...

Brokenstar then cuts in, 

B-"You are no family of ours, not after what you did to Snowstar and I.". 

D-"It's so funny how you blame me for all this", 

B-"OF COURSE I DO, YOU TOOK CONTROL OF ME AND USED MY BODY TO BETRAY MY CLAN AND FAMILY. NOT TO MENTION KILL MY FATHER, YOUR OWN BROTHER..".

D- "But you believed me when I told you your sister didn't love you, or that your mother had given the name brokenkit because she hated you. That was all you" 

B-" Yes, and I know now that I was wrong but it's too late. I can't tear apart another clan to fix what you've done to us."

 And at that Darkheart fell silent.

"I only did to my brother what he deserved," he said quietly, " we used to be such great siblings. But he left me behind in the dust when it came to apprenticeship. He ignored me, acted as though he had never met me so other apprentices wouldn't call him all the names they called me. All because I wasn't as handsome, not as agile or strong. And I hated him everyday of the rest of my life for it."

Ending with that he snapped his head up, "Snowstar's punishment is not done yet. And I know the perfect way to finish it off.". He said creepily as he bolted off into the piney woods. "He's heading for Frostclan camp, subdue him while I get my warriors for backup!", my sister howled as she darted off as fast she could towards the other territory....
