Hello Simmers from around the globe! Here I will show you how to install a mod (example: a .zip file). It took me a long time, but after watching part of a YouTube video, everything suddenly clicked. Don't worry, you will have this moment too, everyone does at some point or another! It just takes time and patience.
-Step 1. Download your mod. You can download them anywhere! I prefer The Sims Resource, Mod The Sims, or The Sims 4 Updates (all trustworthy websites).
-Step 2. Go to your downloads file and find your newly downloaded mod file and right click it.
-Step 3. Select 'extract file' (it may be just extract, but look for it).
-Step 4. Find your newly extracted file and right click it, then copy it (it will be in downloads as well, it should pop right up).
-Step 5. Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4/Mods, right click (once again), and select paste.
