Sometimes, you'll experience a crash or your computer will freeze, and after hours of simming, losing all that progress is devestating.
Here are some tips to help you stay on top of not losing everything you've worked for.
1. Save every five-ten minutes - I do this, and it has helped me and saved so much time and simming through freezes and crashes!
2. Make copies of your household - I also do this, because sometimes a profile gets corrupt, and you don't want to lose the many generations you've worked hard on!
3. Do what you can to make your game run smoothly (See chapter 8 of this book).
4. Try not to download tons and tons of cc... Some is OK, but having the entire TSR website stored away in your cc folder isn't very good in terms of having your game running nicely.
5. Watch out for viruses (Again, see chapter 8)!
6. Sometimes, in The Sims 4, if my Sim's house is too big (like Downton Abby castle big), the game crashes. If this is the case, you may want to get your Sim a different home (probably with the copy you made of your household).
