If you play any of the Sims games, I'm sure you've gotten your Sims pregnant at least a couple of times, or have at least heard of pregnancy in The Sims (the case of The Sims 1 and Freeplay players).
So, if you're a beginner or want tips on how to lead a happy Sim pregnancy, you came to the right place!First off, a Sim pregnancy last about 2-4 days.
I like to watch throughout the days (or, for them, trimesters) how my Sim grows.
It's truly amazing and beautiful, especially if your Sim has a partner to share the joy with. So, I will be using example Sims: a married couple. The wife is Jane and the husband is Jesse.
Jane and Jesse try for baby at about 11 am on a Saturday. You, the player, hear the little chimes once Jane and Jesse are done, which indicates that Jane will be pregnant.
Throughout the next 24 hours, Jane will be nausous and most likely throw up at least once, sometimes even 3-4 times (as with real life, each pregnancy is different).
Aprox. 24 hours afer the woohoo: 11 am on Sunday, Jane will suddenly change into maternity chlothes (a little tip: if Jane is wearing a dress/one piece outfit at the time of finding out she's pregnant, her maternity clothes will be a gown, whereas if she's wearing a shirt and pants, her maternity clothes will also be a shirt and pants), rub her belly, and a little message will pop up, telling you, the player, that Jane is pregnant and glowing!
Jane will walk around regularly for about a day, until a bump starts to form, then she'll start to waddle.
Aprox. two days after she finds out she's pregnant, she will start to get contractions. You have a few choices for birth:
A home birth: you sit there, waiting for 3-4 hours, while Jesse and every other present Sim freaks out. I favor home births, as this means less traveling, you can decorate the nursery as soon as baby arrives, and you actually get to see the delivery, which is... magical.A hospital birth: Mom and Dad go together and disappear into the hospital, then come out with baby. Not usually my favorite choice, but to each his/her own.
During the pregnancy, it is best to take the time to read the two available pregnancy books, which are for sale right at your Sim's local book store for cheap.
Also, keep your Sim happy!
An unhappy pregnant Sim equals traits for baby that you can't choose!
So, make sure your Sim's needs are taken care of.And don't worry about her having to work during the pregnancy - from the moment she finds out she's carrying, she gets maternity leave; awesome, indeed!
One more thing:
If you want a girl, have your Sim eat watermelons while she's pregnant, and if you want a boy, have her eat apples!Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, but I don't know how much more of this book I'll be able to write; I've taught you guys almost everything I know about Sims!
Disagree? Comment chapter suggestions!Bye for now, friends!
