"Kaley? What happened? I just saw you jumping out of the hole!" Steven asked as I walked back inside the lab.
"Nothing. Just a little fall." I lied. I didn't want to tell him that me and N jumped into a river, it will sound like N was trying to kill me.
"Kaley, are you sure your okay?" Wally asked, "Your lips are blue."
"Yes, I'm fine."
"Where did you get that?" Brendan asked pointing at the chain. I sighed, I had to accept it. I cared for N, and no one would stop me.
"N gave it to me." I said, without a single doubt in my mind.
"Why?" asked Steven, with a concerned look on his face.
"Because he was worried we would separate. Why? Is it a bad thing to care for someone?"
"No. But yes if it's a person who used to rule an evil team!"
"He left for a reason Steven! Why won't you believe him?"
"I don't trust him! I've trusted both Team Aqua and Magma to destroy a legendary Pokemon!"
"Well, did they do something wrong to you?"
Steven stayed silent. I started signaling Wally so we could catch some Pokemon, with this war going on, we needed a break. I looked back at Steven and said a few last words.
"I know you care about me, but you should care about both of us if it is me." I said as we walked out.
Wally and I sat there in a patchy grass field as we talked about previous catches. I noticed a blue, orange, and slightly purple Pokemon in the grass next to us. It jumped onto me with a slight sparkle.
I gasped. It was a shiny Ralts. It wanted to become my friend, so I threw my pokeball at it, as it shook three times, it caught it.
"Nice! I guess that Ralts wanted to be your friend."
"I suppose so."
Wally looked off into the sunset, "Do you think N is evil...or?"
"No, I don't. He's sweet, kind of like you."
"Steven doesn't trust him, just because he was part of Team Plasma. I think he has had a change of heart recently, though. Ever since he met you."
"Wait. Are you talking about Steven or N at that last part there?"
"Both."
"Er..."
"What? Steven cares for you."
"I know...but not in that way."
"Well, you do need to tell him." I will soon.
I quickly realized I couldn't say anything. It was like something was taking over me. I tried to scream 'Help', but that didn't work. I realized I wasn't in control anymore. She was. They started having a horrifying conversation.
"Uh. Kaley? Are you okay? Your eyes both are purple." Then she moved her hand to slap Wally, which he dodges and avoids. Wally began saying random things as her swipes come closer to him.
"Please! I know this isn't you! Fight it! Give me signs your still in there." She stopped as I was able to speak. I decided since I could not be existing anymore, I'd sing a death song, that she also knows.
I had won the ownership back for a while. I fell to the ground in exhaustion. Wally ran over to me as he helped me in a sitting position.
"What...What happened?"
"I-I got taken over. By her."
"Oh." Wally said as he hugged me. We sat there, hugging each other for what felt like days. I still was confused. How did she gain control? Oh well, one thing mattered. She cannot touch N.
