Chapter two: The Raided

 The battle still raging, gun fire and mini nukes exploding here and there, the VAKs have been driven back to the welcome arch.After the AA tanks were pulled out, the air war fare has ceased. About an hour before, Space Station Omega fell out of the sky, and into the ocean near what was left of Kraken Island way outside the outer city limits. Its occupants flew down and landed just to get back into warfare. Only one fighter came down, spinning and crashed right next to the monument, Skimmer 3 had retrieved the unconscious soldier along with several others while making rounds picking up the soldiers who were to wounded to battle on.

 I tuned into the medic communicaters only due to the depressing news of every other minuet someone goes down. " Ma'am Skimmer 3 has just landed outside with another load." Informed the trainee medic, " Its a big load from the Omega. A rumor says there's a general on it." "I need facts not rumors Shepard." I replied while working on one of the soldier who's foot had been blown off. -Over the com- "This is skimmer 3, General Blockshady has been knocked unconscious and is waiting transport into the hospital." I perked up at the sound of my old trainee who I had trained from the time he was a mere privet.  " Mightydra, come finnish this foot." I yelled over the commotion of the newly wounded coming in on stretchers. Mightydra quickly came over and took over were I left off, the one-footed recruit groaned in disapproval. Trainee medic Shepard and I quickly went down stairs to meet up with the driver of skimmer three.

Once outside, the battle torn city had changed shape and caught on fire since the time I went into the hospital. All the sudden someone from the Monument Yelled ' GET DOWN!!!" Everyone  dropped, A missile from an enemy frigate had hit the prison. It killed several of the captured prisoners, along with the Mobile Bloxxer guard who's lifeless body was flung across D3 and into the large gaping river between the districts. " We have to get him inside quickly!" shouted the driver of Skimmer 3, who just happened to be General CommanderCornbread, also one of my trainees. We grabbed the limp Blockshady and ran to the elevater inside.

 The sounds of whizzing bullets seemed to get closer. Then a very large crashing sound. No more firring bullets, or mini nukes going off, It was silent. I turned my com back on to see if anyone was talking. Still nothing, the other medics in the room seemed to be as confused as I. " Horatio? Puppier? What happened?" I asked into the com. I pulled out my portable radar to see who was where, the commanding Generals and WAC were all in the main base, several still active troops were around the center of D4, but all the enemy's seemed to have disappeared, not were in the city could they be seen. "Poppy?" I heard a voice over the com, It was Puppier, knowing he was probably thinking the same thing I was, I looked up from the wounded Blockshady and my eyes met with my medics, all confused. "Shoketae, come hook this General up to some I.V's, I have to go somewhere." I murmured, everything so silent, I knew he heard me. He walked over, careful to avoid the many dis-jointed soldiers laying on stretchers all around the large room. I got up and walked down to the skimmer. "Cornbread, I need a lift." I stated, Corn knew what I was going to do, he quickly took controls, and we were off to the Base.

------------Back at main base------------

   "Good job SH, your job here is done." Announced WAC to the four soldiers in black power suits with yellow arrows down the center of their chests. "Go back to your duty's, and we will be in contact soon." The soldiers left the office on top of the Main base building. Just as they left, five Generals came in. All speaking at the same time, Puppier, Horatio, Bysen, Blue, and Snakestorm were all asking basically the same question. What had happened? " Calm down my generals, the threat has been neutralized." WAC announced his arm gesturing to the window facing the city, the carnage was horrendous, but he had spoken the truth, No VAKs remained, other then the many dead near the arch and D4.The only sign of life was the random specs of confused soldiers in their green uniforms. A few of the skimmers were just hovering not knowing what to do, only three remained going back an fourth to and from the hospital. Then the one coming from the hospital. "Puppier, Bysen, and Snake start on clean up crew. Horatio, Blue, you two are going to build, and supply a New Omega station, the other seems to have fallen in the ocean." Words replied calmly. Still dazed and not with any answer, the Generals walked out of the room. "Poppy, get Block patched up and conscious, he needs to get back to his post, asap." WAC spoke through his com like he knew why I was coming. "Yes sir" I replied not really knowing why, or how he knew this. I turned Commandercorn around and we headed back to the hospital.
