Julia's POV

I woke up the next morning not knowing where I was. I looked around. I saw I was holding my box. All the memories flooded back from the night before. Me running out of the station. Me getting my box. Me thinking about my future without them. Me meeting the old lady. She taking me home. I got out of bed with my box and walked around. I quietly walked down the stairs and looked around. The older lady wasn't  awake. I walked into the living room and saw pictures. I saw one that looked like my bigger sister when she was little and my brother and me!! I turned around and saw the old lady looking at me. "Sorry," I said.

"It's alright, are you hungry?" She asked me.

"A little," I said.

"I'll make some eggs and toast," she told me.

"Can I help?" I asked.

"Sure," she said.

When we were done making it we started eating. "Do you have any daughters or granddaughters?" I asked her.

"Yes, I have one daughter and two granddaughters. I also have one grandson," she told me.

"What are there names?" I asked.

"My grandson was winter cause he was born in the winter. My granddaughters are Rose and Julia," she told me.

"What's your daughters name?" I asked.

"Carol," she told me.

"My sister's name was Rose and my brother's was winter," I said.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Julia," I said.

"Were you adopted?" She asked.

"Yes why?" I asked.

"Im- I'm your grandma," she said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes, your mother was very sick and she put you up for adoption and your brother and sister went with you, at least they were suppose to," she told me.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Nancy," my grandma told me.

"That's a pretty name grandma," I said.

"Thank you sweetie," she said.

"Do you wanna meet my mom," I said.

"You don't have a dad?" She asked.

"Nope just me and her," I smiled.

"Your probably wondering what happened to your dad," she said.

"Yes," I said.

"He was killed before you were born," she told me.

"Oh," I said looking sad.

"Let's go so I can meet your mom," she told me.

"Okay," I said smiling.

"Where does your mom work?" She asked me.

"She's a special victims detective," I told her.

"Oh that's cool," she told me.

"What was your job?" I asked.

"I worked as a lawyer," she told me.

"I wanna be a cop, just like mom and I wanna do something like you did," I told her.

We got to the precinct and I half jumped out of the car. We walked inside and went to the elevator. We got in and went to the second floor. I saw Fin and ran up to him. "Where's mom?" I asked.

"In her office wh-," he said before I ran to her office.

"Mom, mom mom!!" I yelled as I ran into her office.

"What, what, what?" She asked.

"Come on follow me," I said half dragging her out of her office.

My grandma was talking to Fin. "Grandma where's my box?" I asked.

"Your box?" Liv asked.

"She's your grandma?" Nick chimed in.

"Yes and yes," I said.

"It's in the car," my grandma said.

"Can I go get it?" I begged.

"Yes, but be careful," she told me.

"I will," I said and ran outside after she gave me the key.

Liv's POV

Grandma? Her grandma. She might want her back. No that means I'll lose Julia forever. "Can you tell me how Julia found you?" I asked her grandma.

"It was a very weird way but let me start from the beginning," she told me.

After her grandma told me everything I was relieved. "I was so scared that someone took her," I said. "I was out looking for all night," I added.

"I'm sorry," her grandma said.

"Don't be, I'm just glad she was fine. She had a sister and brother?" I asked.

"Yes, they died the same day of the same year and so did her cat that's why she was at the cemetery last night," her grandma told us.

"That must of been hard," I said.

"Especially for her," her grandma said.

"Talking about Julia, she's been gone for awhile," Amanda said obviously listening to our conversation.

"Let's go look," I said to Julia's grandma.

We walked outside and her grandma showed me where she parked. Her car was gone. There was no box. No Julia. No trace of a case being there. Nothing. Julia is gone. I started panicking. Her grandma comforted me. She should of been the one crying not me. We should of both been crying. She was the best thing and only thing. I- I needed her. S- she was my everything. I don't know what I would do without her. I fell to the ground in tears. Her grandma right with me. Not leaving my side. We walked around to clear our heads. We walked, and walked and walked. We've been walking forever. I don't know how long. I don't know where we went. It started raining. Her grandma pulled out her umbrella and we walked and walked. We didn't stop to eat or drink or use the bathroom. Her grandma never asked or said a word. We just walked in silence. I looked over at her grandma. She was silently crying. I looked up and people were staring at us. Looking. Staring. Like we were crazy. I wanted to go over and punch them. Say 'stop looking and staring you don't know what happened to me.' People judging us. People looking sad when they saw us. I just walked along crying. I didn't know what else to do.
