Epilogue

"Would you like to come up on deck?" Caspian asked as we all sat together below deck, "I have a surprise for you."

Over the course of a week we had started sailing back toward Caspian's castle where he invited us to stay with him. We followed Caspian upstairs and stood at the railing of the ship as we went around a bend. There was a beach and up on the cliffs was Cair Paravel.

"Cair Paravel?" Peter asked.

"You rebuilt it," Susan smiled.

"Yes, it took time but we finished last year everything exactly the same as it was," Caspian nodded.

"It's beautiful," I grinned. The Dawn Treader was docked in the town where everyone cheered as we loaded off.

"Come, I have so much to show you," Caspian said as we followed him to the castle. The palace looked exactly as it did when we first came to Narnia.

We were brought to our rooms and I looked out the window that I had looked out of so many times it was an older view but I couldn't help but smile and know that I would never have to leave Narnia again. There was a knock at my door and Peter walked in.

"Would you like to go for a walk?" He asked.

"Of course," I smiled intertwining my fingers in his. The weather outside was beautiful as the sun set as we walked through the gardens.

"I'm sorry we won't get to live in the house you told me about," I told him.

"It's okay, the house didn't really matter all that matter was that I was going to be with you," Peter smiled.

"That's where the pavilion used to be," I pointed to a circle of flowers, "Where you proposed to me," I smiled at the memory.

"I was just thinking about that," Peter said.

"It's alright, you don't have to propose again I already know what my answer will be," I squeezed his hand.

"But that was 4 years ago or 2300 in Narnia time and I don't want to wait. We're here for good and I'm never leaving your side," Peter said stopping, "We will stay here in Narnia for the rest of our lives and I want to spend those years with you," he said before getting down on one knee. Peter pulled out a small wooden ring, "I know it's not much but I made it on the Dawn Treader on our way back here."

"Peter, it's perfect," I said as the tears rolled down my cheeks and I covered one hand over my mouth as he held the other.

"Eleanor, will you marry me?" He asked.

"Of course, Peter," I cried as he slipped the ring on my finger. Peter got up from the ground and I threw my arms around him smashing my lips to his.

He pulled away after we had our moment, "We'll be together for the rest of our lives."

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

The End.
