All night I must have tossed and turned, because the sleeping bag is all out of place. Daryl is gone, he must be a morning person, which I'm 100% not. It takes me a while but I finally emerge from the tent, to camp. Everyone seems to be cleaning up the place from last nights ordeal. I scan the whole area, then I spot him. Daryl lifts up his pick ax, slamming it into the undead's head. He does the same for the group of walkers all around the area.

"Looking for something?" A voice startles me. It's Rick.

"What...no"

"Well then why were staring intensely over there?"

"Nothing...I... was just getting to know the place." (I never said I was good at lying)

"More like getting to know Daryl."

I get a pit in my stomach. "Is he always so...emotionless?"

"I'm not sure, but why don't you go talk to him.

Yes talk to him, cause I'm gonna be so great at that. I take a deep breath, then I approach him. At first I'm not sure if I should be the one to say something or if I should wait for him. "Hey...do you need any help?" He pauses wiping his forehead with his arm. "You know what Sunshine, that'd be helpful." Sunshine? Is that supposed to be his way of flirting or just a nice gesture. He tosses me another ax. We both hack away at the corpses making sure there's no coming back. Meanwhile, I keep repeating the word sunshine in my head, over and over. "Alright Sunshine, thats enough for now." Ok now he's said it twice. It has to mean something, or does it?

A/N Hey guys! So I'm gonna use sunshine as Daryl's official nickname for her, and he'll start to use it in a more loving way as the story progresses
