a week after our kiss
i opened my locker and a note slipped out
i thought it was from you
i blushed hard
i figured i would wait until i was home alone to open it
so i slipped it in my purse
and headed back to class
we only had three classes together
art, gym, and study hall
i was in algebra 2
while you were in chemistry
you were awfully smart
i was still in biology
as was the rest of our grade
the class bell rung and i walked to my car
when i felt cold, clammy hands
shove me against a set of blue lockers
my body hurt
and the mystery abuser
whispered into my ear
open the envelope
as they walked away
shooken up, i took out and opened the envelope
a picture of me and you kissing slipped out
and landed on the floor
i gasped and picked it up
and ripped it to pieces
nobody could know
i didn't know you were standing behind me
with flowers in your hands
planning on giving them to me
i didn't know tears were overflowing your eyes
because you ran away too fast
so fast that you dropped your chemistry textbook
it landed on my foot
i didnt know that my toe was broken
from that damned book
i didn't know.
