one week later, i got out the hospital
my arm was wrapped around yours
and yours were wrapped around mine
my mother was missing
my leg was covered in a cast
and my head wrapped in gauze
we got in your car and pulled out the hospital
i will admit, i was gonna miss doctor john
and his magnificent abs
i would also miss my tiny room
that was our safe haven for cuddling
and my hello kitty alarm clock
that beeped even when it wasnt set
id miss it all because you and i,
we were leaving,
leaving to the great unknown of New York
i had never trusted and loved a person so much,
with such power and force that not even i could contain it
you were mine,
and i was yours,
and nobody could ever possibly get inbetween us
not the pastors
who called us lesbians
and cursed our names
not even my mother
who disowned me
and looked at me in shame
because
i loved you tyler may,
and i still love you to this day.
