Chapter 5

"I guess I should call Brittany. She's always good with these kind of things. Great I am so confused I am talking to myself outloud."

I walked over to my dresser to get my phone. As I was reaching for my phone, it began to ring. I picked it up without checking the caller id.

"Hello?"

"Hey Ash! It's me Brittany."

"Oh, hey Britt. I was just about to call you."

"I know. I can read your mind."

"Sure you can, and I ride unicorns on the weekends." We both lost it there and started laughing. I love her she always knows how to make me laugh.

"So anyway why where you going to call me?"

"I wanted to ask if you wanted to come over. I need to talk to some one I know will understand."

"Of course! You know I am there for you. I will be there in about 3 minutes."

"I think it's so cool my best friends all live really close to me."

"I know right. Speaking of best friends why not just talk to Jay about this?"

"Umm...," What do I say? I don't want to tell her over the phone. "Jay is a little busy right now." Ya busy kissing that slut.

"Ok I am on my way. Bye!"

"Bye!" And with that I hung up.

*3 minutes later*

I walked downstairs and went to answer the door. I tried my best not to look at Jay and Lilly cuddling on the couch. I opened the door and pulled Brittany in and up to my room as fast as I could. I ran in my room and closed the door behind us.

"Why?" She was panting. She must have been surprised when I pulled her in.

"Because Jay is downstairs cuddling with some slut named Lilly, who is now his girlfriend." I was talking so fast that I don't think she understood a word I said.

"What!?!?" She screamed.

"Sshh! Everyone is going to hear you!" I quickly covered her mouth.

"Why do we care so much? Are we planing to tease him since he has a girlfriend? And why do you say she is a slut?" She was talking fast now.

"Because I think I am in love with Jay. No. And because she was making out with MY Jay."

"Woah slow down. What? Say that first one again."

"I am in love with Jay."

"I knew it!" She screamed and jumped up in the air.

"Jake said he knew too. Why did everyone know that I loved him before me?"

"Because we know you too well."

"You don't think Jay knows. Do you?"

"I doubt it. He may know you, but he doesn't know girls enough to know when they are crushing on him."

"Good. Now what do I do about Lilly?"

"Jay's girlfriend."

"You mean soon to be ex-girlfriend."

"Not unless Jay breaks up with her."

"We could help with that."

"No."

"What do you mean no?"

"I mean that I am not helping you break them up. I am sorry, but I can't do that."

"Why not?" I can't believe she isn't going to help me.

"Because this is Jay. He is my friend too. If this was anybody else I would help you in a heartbeat, but this is Jay. I can't ruin his life. What if this girl is his soulmate? Do you really want to be responsible for making him miserable?"

"No, I guess your right. I never thought about it like that. I couldn't do that to him either."

"So what are you going to do?"

"I don't know I can't be around him as long as he is dating that girl. I will get jealous. I don't want my jealousy to ruin our friendship."

"So does this mean your leaving?"

"I think I might have to."
