*Ashley's POV*

"What!?!"

"Not like that. First off let me say that we only rob places that steal from innocent people, I promise."

"Really now," Jay said sarcasticly. "So you're some kind of Robin Hood."

"In a way yes. We don't just go off of people's word though. That's what you were for in the pair. You would do business with the people and then we would watch and see what happened. If the money was stolen or something suspicious happened to it, we would know that the rumours were true. You would even find out exactly who was stealing the money. If it was someone who really needed the money to feed kids or they donated it, we would rough them up a bit. Then let them know that we knew about it and that they have to stop or we will come back."

"Why do I feel like 'we' doesn't just mean me and you?"

"Because it isn't just me and you doing this. There are at least 150 other pairs that do this across the United States. The lion you have on your back is the symbol of our organization. We protect the innocent and poor."

"That's awesome."

"No it's illegal."

"No more illegal than beating people up."

"You know about that?"

"That little girl you're hugging on is like my sister. I do my research on the people she has crushes on."

"Hey, I'm not a little girl."

"I didn't mean little as young or naive, I mean little as in small."

"You better."

"What do you do if they are stealing the money for themselves?"

Jay is changing the subject. I wonder what else I don't know about him. I'll have to ask Meg more about him when we're alone later.

"We get the money back in the right place."

"How?"

"I can't share all our secrets with you unless you join, plus I'm not completely sure how we do it. That was your girlfriends job. She worked the technical side of things. I am the one that finds the target and watches them."

"If you're wanted how did you get here," I said trying to get a little bit of questions in before Jay came up with more.

"Technically you're wanted too, but they don't know our real names or our true faces. Believe it or not I used to be going to school to become a movie make up artist. I basically give us a new face for every robbery, but only if one is necessary. The only people who know your real face are the ones we give the money to."

"What about your face who knows that?"

"You, me, my family, and now Jay."

"Do the other members know your faces," Jay asked. Looks like he found more questions.

"No and we don't know theirs. Everyone keeps it a secret in case someone gets arrested. That way they can't sell people out or get tricked into telling the police."

"Smart," I said in awe.

"I know. I only wish I was smart enough to have ever come up with it."

"I need to tell Jake and Britt about this."

"You can't. If you do you force them to become apart of it. The cops ever figure out who you are they can arrest all of them for knowingly harboring a criminal."

"Can I at least tell them about you? I don't know if I did before, but I hate lying to loved ones."

"Fine and yes you've always hated lying, but you're really good at it."

"Thanks."

"Well that's all for today. Two more of us are coming and should be here by tomorrow."

"Wait some more wanted Robin Hoods are coming here?"

Jay got up and walked towards Meg. She smirked.

"Yes Jay. They're friends of Ashes, so play nice," she said as she pat Jay on the head. "Bye Ashes." She got up and walked to the door.

"Bye Meg."

She walked out the door. Jay turns and looks at me. After a few seconds a questioning look appears on his face.

"What are you thinking about," Jay asks me.

"Who's Robin Hood?"

"A guy that robbed the rich and gave to the poor."

"So I'm a Robin Hood. Now tell me again how that's not awesome!"

"Because it's illegal and you could go to jail."

"So what I help people."

"Okay, you need to sleep if two more Robin Hoods are coming tomorrow."

We both fell asleep as soon as we got comfortable in the bed.
