Barry sat at the table, enjoying another meal with Joe and Iris. "Can you pass the mashed potatoes?" Barry asks Joe, leaning slightly over the table. Joe hands him the bowl.
Barry grabs his side and screams in agony. He collapse onto the table. "Barry!" they both exclaim. "What's wrong?" Joe asks.
"Are you hurt?" Iris asks.
"No, I... I'm fine." He claims. "Snart." Barry chocks out. "He's hurt. I can feel it. He's hurt. Joe he needs help." Barry tells him. "Barry, I know he's your soul mate but he's a criminal and I don't want you involved with people like him." Joe tells him.
"Joe... He's, in so much pain. You have to help me, I need to help him."
Joe stares at Barry for a moment. "Please Joe, Len's body isn't like mine. He doesn't heal as fast, he's not as strong." Barry pleads. "I'll see what I can do, but Barry, I don't even know where he is, let's hope this has something to do with the police." He says before taking off.
Iris helps Barry over to the couch so he can sit. "I still can't believe you're soul mate is Captain freaking Cold. Like out of all the wonderful people in the world the one your destine to be with is a bank robber." Iris says. "Len's not as bad of a guy as people think. He can be sweet. Yeah he does some bad things but he has a good heart when it comes down to it." He tells her. "I'll take your word for it." She replies.
*later that night*
The pain in Barry's side had since stopped. Which meant one of two things, either Len died, or he got help. Barry hoped it wasn't the first option.
Joe opened the door and walked over to Barry. "You're right Barry, he was hurt, badly. But he's alive and he should be okay. A robbery went wrong and he got shot. He's in the hospital. You can go see him but I'm not sure you should." Joe explains.
"Criminal or not, Len's my soul mate." Barry states.
*that night at the hospital*
Barry stands at the entrance to the room Len's in. He walks over to Len's bedside. "You awake?" he asks quietly. Len doesn't answer. Barry sits next to him and grabs his hand.
"Damn it Len, that hurt. Don't even do anything like that. You scared the hell out of me. If you ever get shot again I'll kick your perfect ass." Barry threatens.
Len laughs slightly. "I knew you're awake." Barry says. "Shh. I'm awake but I'm still not all here. Just keep your voice down Scarlet." Len says.
"Alright, Len. Just, get better okay?" he asks. "Yeah, sounds like a plan." Len answers.
