I wake up the next day on my bed, with flyers on me. I quickly wake up and rub my eyes, then head downstairs.

I head out to the town center, hoping to find someone who can show me where Smoothie Hut is.

I see people walking around, some smelling strongly of perfume or cologne or something strong.

These must be humans!

"Excuse me!" I say, stopping one man. "Do you know where I can find Smoothie Hut?"

"It's next to the grill." He tells me, then walks away.

I head to the direction of the grill, then I see the smoothie place.

I walk inside and I see Eki, sitting down and waiting for me at a table, drinking her nasty-looking brown smoothie.

"What is that?" I ask her, sitting down.

"Crunchy cricket with a hint of snake guts! Want some?" She asks cheerfully.

"No thanks. Anyways, what can you tell me my werewolf buddies can't?" I ask her.

"Nothing really." She looks at me sheepishly.

"So why did you call me here?" I ask, a bit angrily.

"I just wanted someone to talk to!"

"Well we can talk after tonight's shift, okay? But I'm kind of busy, and I need to find out more about me."

"Okay! Meet me here then in two days and we can talk then!" She says, smiling.

"Okay... bye." I say, leaving her, thinking about how a complete waste of time this was.

I walk next door to the grill, and spot Jake sitting shirtless with his buddies. This time the chatter doesn't stop in the grill when I enter, and I was glad for that.

I sat down in front of him. I pointed at his chest. "Why don't you have a shirt on?"

"You like?" He asks, grinning at me.

"Not really." I said, and all the guys around him went 'ooooooh.'

He rolls his eyes. "So what did you need?" He asks.

"Well I wanted to know more about that hunter that came in here a few days ago."

He looked at the clock on the grill wall.

"Alright but we have to leave soon."

"Why?"

"It's almost moon-rise."

"Oh yeah."

He begins to talk to me about the hunters. He tells me they are a form of Phantom, and their eyes were cut out to improve their smell, that there are different types of hunters, and such.

After a while he looks up at the clock. "Time to go!" He yells and the guys from the table pop up and jog into the woods. Jake hangs back with me.

"Aren't you gonna go shift with them?" I ask him.

"If you want me to. But I could shift with you." He says, looking at me.

"Yeah, that would be nice." I say, smiling.

We walk out into the woods and shift, which was a lot less painful. Maybe the new info about me made the shift easier.

Once I was a wolf, I walked out from behind my tree and saw Jake. He was a black wolf with the same  blue eyes.

Follow me. We can go run around with the pack. Jake mild-linked me.

I followed him as we ran through the forest, leaves crunching under us.

Soon we were in the training area, the one I had visited with Jake and Dog earlier. It was filled with a circle of wolves, in the middle was an old-looking wolf who was jet-black with red eyes.

Hey guys! I recognized Dog's voice in my head, then I saw him running over. He was a simple light brown wolf. Quick, the alpha is about to start talking! Then the Hunt will begin! Dog says, the we ran over the joined the circle.
