When the four left the tavern and went outside, they noticed how quiet everything was. the streets had been cleared. It was as if something had scared the locals away.
"Where is everyone," Nikita asked generally.
"I don't know replied," Raziel, but I don't like it. It was uncannily quiet, so silent in fact you could here a pin drop.
"This is not good," said Conan. "These streets are usually busy with a hive of activity. someone or something has caused the locals to go back indoors.
"They walked toward the corner of the garden and there standing in the middle of the road the company had found what had caused the locals to flee indoors, the seven assassins had found Abel and were ready to bring him in to there master Lucifer alive and unspoiled.
"Who are they," Conan asked, directing his question to whom ever could answer. Holding the hilt of his sword anticipating the worst.
"The seven assassins from hell," Raziel muttered. You know them better as the seven deadly sins.
"Stand aside, wretched Angel " called out Vanity, it sounded as though he had been screaming his voice was horsed . "We only want the boy. Hand him over and we may spare your life."
"What" said Abel with an under tone of fear creeping all over his body. the company were hopelessly outnumbered, surly there was nothing anyone could do. Razie then plucked up the courage and stood before Abel.
"I will die before you take him," Raziel shouted out loud and clear, if Raziel was nervous he sure showed no sign that he was.
"Ah Raziel, do you think you have the power to take all of us on. alone? All of us." Sadistically the assassins laughed in unison.
Conan then mustered up the courage and stood side by side with Raziel and drew his sword "Raziel does not stand alone." Conan said confidently in his ability. For now was the moment to test the oath he had made to protect Abel. Was he up to the challenge I suppose only time would tell.
And who is this Vanity asked a ragged ranger from the west.
"So be it" said Gluttony "you will die as well."
Then the assassin moved forward, drawing there dark blades. There blades differed slightly but were more or less the same black steel some were straight some were curved these blades had been forged in hell itself. Conan gripped his two handed sword and looked ready for combat, smiling and taunting the assassins on. Raziels too had his blade drawn and as ever it had a blue shimmer to it.
"Isolate the boy," called out wrath. Lust Gluttony and greed went left to take on Conan whilst lazziness, envy and wrath went right to take on Raziel.
"there flanking us," said Conan.
"What ever happens don't let them get to Abel." Rziel said licking hips lips awaiting the assassin first attacke
"Take out these two pathetic worms." Pride said moving forward his eyes were fixated on Abel. Conan and Raziel immediately reacted to the threat which had presented them. Conan swung his blade viscously and immediately put the assassins on the back foot. Raziel kicked Lust who fell on to the floor but hesitated no time in getting back to his feet to aid his fellow assassins.
Gluttony swung next but Conan was able to deflect the blow he then held his wrist up to stop Greeds attack and his sword left an indent on his Celtic brace. His brace was magical supposedly made from the skin of a dragon or legend had been told.
Raziel was fending of the assasins as best the could, it was vital to let these assassins know that they were in for a fight. Raziel like all Angels was gifted with quick reactions so dodging wasn't going to be a problem Abel watched at Raziel flexibility he moved like a ballerina . Lazziness, Greed and Envy were attempting to put down Raziel but were finding it difficult.
