After being on the road for about ten minutes the company were in the wild countryside a vast land which stretched far and wide as far and wide as they eye could see. It was like a great quilt of many shades of green, yellow, gold, brown and grey squares held together by the thick green stitching of the hedgerows. The hills rose and fell like giant waves very picturesque indeed. Most of the alien lands out here were used by farmers to cut peat. But to Abel, it was just grass, grass and more grass. If you hadn't been born in these parts you were treated like an outsider, even if you came from the same county. The sky was clear of clouds a beautiful blue canvas, and you could see the very tip of the great mountain Ereigal.
The road had many loose chippings, bumps, hollows and pot holes, Abel at the back of the truck was bobbing up and down his rear end, his ass, was sure to get some minor bruising in stark contrast Raziel was on the passengers seat sitting comfortably listening to Pat whistling.
Pat's driving was erratic at best, he drove round the bends at top speed. There were moments when Both Raziel and Abl thought the truck was going to upend itself.
There weren't many other motorists on the road thankfully, but those that were found a way to piss Pat right off. "Would ya look at this!" Pat said sarcastically "would you just look at this!" Raziel could tell Pat was doing his best to not use the horn. It wasn't long before she turned off and allowed Pat to pick up a head of steam, pedal to the metal as they say. "If I see a fucking tractor I'm gonna flip." Pat was a nice guy but he had awful road rage.
"What the rush?" asked Raziel
"The misses wants to do the shopping."
"Ah I see" said Raziel "motor on then" and Pat did, but not at the request of Raziel.
"So where are we going?" Abel loudly asked from the back. He had to speak up for Raziel wouldn't hear him.
"We are going to begin your training," Raziel said.
"Training" Pat interrupted "like martial arts training or something?".
"Something Like that" Raziel replied quickly "perhaps it's best if I fill you in later" Raziel suggested.
"Fair enough" Abel responded but he was curious to know what training he was to partake in he was sure before too long Raziel would inform him.
"Something secret is it? said Pat "well don't mind me I won't pry, your business is your business"
"I assure you ," said Raziel "Its best if you don't know where we are going. Its for your own safety that you know as little about us as possible."
"My own safety!" Pat said alarmingly, "here your not dangerous fugitives are you cause if you are I'm gonna be having a few words with Job next time I see him."
"Heavens no" Raziel as half laughing half attempting to reassure Pat that he was in no danger. Well unless the assassins knew Pat was aiding them/
"Well if I'm in in dangerI'd rather know." Pat said adamantly.
"I assure you Pat, your in no danger," Raziel said this stoutly Pat looked oddly at Raziel to gage if he was telling the truth then Pat shrugged his shoulders and accepted Raziel's answer.
"Stick on the radio there would ya," Pat asked Raziel who obligingly did. On came the radio he volume was up as loud as it could go it was the 1 pm news.
"Breaking news," a woman's voice said catching the listener's attention "A terrorist daringly released several inmates who had been held under maximum security facility in America. It is believed that one man entered Alcatraz late last night and released a number of high-profile inmates. 20 guards are reported dead and another 20 are wounded as this sole terrorist released a number of high profile highly dangerous evolutionary inmates." She then went on to discuss local news none of which was very interesting
