You look around cautiously, hoping to see no one in sight. "Good.."

You swim up to the surface, looking at the condo. You sigh, smiling a bit. "I wonder if there are any new humans arriving today."

"COME ON BOY!"

You hid behind a big rock quickly. "That was close.."

"Huh? What's wrong buddy? Over here..?" A male voice spoke.

"I wonder who he is.." You mumble. "I should leave but-.."

You pause and look up to see a dog barking happily at you. You gasp and swim underwater, your heart pounding fast. "A-A dog..? He seemed rather happy to see me though.."

You sigh, shaking your head. "No. Humans are despicable. I can't get close to them. But.. what is this feeling..? I want to get to know these humans more.." You slap your face, "What am I saying? That's ridiculous!"

"I don't see anything..?"

You look up towards the surface.

"Woof, woof~!"

"Are you sure you aren't imagining things?" The boy laughs. "Anyways, lets go back inside. Food should be ready!"

"Woof, woof~!"

You chuckle, "It's time for me to go home too."

You wake up, stretching. "I wonder if I'll get to see them again.."

You immediately swim back to the place where you met the boy and his dog. Looking around, you don't see any of them in sight. You reluctantly swim closer to the surface, not realizing that you're getting too close. Until you felt the cold air hit your skin did you finally realize.

"Wow.. so this is what the ground feels like.."

You spot a red creature walking towards you. You smile and hold your hand out, "Hi there little guy-.. OW!"

You pull your now bleeding hand back, wincing in pain. "H-Hey!"

The crab just looks at you and quickly leaves, making you confused. You hear a bark behind you, making you freeze.

"A-A mermaid..?"

"Woof, woof~!"

"I'm guessing you saw her yesterday?"

"Woof, woof~!"

'He's going to kill me..'

"You're bleeding.. here, let me help you. My name is (C/N) by the way."

You slowly turn around and look up to see a boy about your age. His (C/H/C) hair is blowing in the wind, his beautiful (C/E/C) eyes shining, his warm smile..

You flinch as you felt cold water on your hand. "Don't worry, I'm just rinsing your hand.. this part may hurt a bit."

He takes out a container and applies a white substance on your hand. You yelp in pain, pulling your hand back.

He chuckles, placing your hand on his palm. You blush a bit, looking down. "Just one more step, okay?"

"And.. we're done!"

You look at your bandaged hand. "T-Thanks.." You murmur, still looking down.

"No problem! What's your name?" (C/N) sits down next to you as his dog settles down on his lap.

You smile, "(Y/N). Your dog is adorable."

"Thanks!"

The dog licks your face in response, making you laugh. You pat his head and smile, "So.. I'm guessing you're here for vacation? Just like the other humans?"

He nods, "Yup. It's really beautiful here. I didn't think I would get to meet a mermaid. Or really, talk to one."

"We normally stay underwater. Since you know.. the humans and all."

"So you trust me then? Since you know, I'm a human."

You blush and look away, "W-Well.. I.."

He chuckles, "I was joking. You should be careful though. Not everybody here is as nice and as hot as me."

"Seriously..?" You give him a look.

"Kidding, kidding. You don't think I'm hot?"

"I... didn't say that. N-Not like I think you're hot or anything like that. I mean, I'm not saying you aren't. Well, what I meant to say is-.."

He smirks, "I think what you meant to say is that (C/N) is indeed smoking hot."

Your face reddens as you look away. "W-Whatever.."

"Well, I definitely know where I want to go on my next vacation."

"Where?"

"Definitely here." He smiles.
