"Have a wonderful day!" A forceful smile make its way to your face. Once the male is out of sight, you heave a weary sigh and lean against the counter.

It has been a rough day that consisted of vexed customers. Every once in a while you gander at the clock, having the desire to trod home and doze away.

Unfortunately for you, work is still in session for an interminable hour. A female moseys toward you with some clothing in hand, flashing a pearly smile. "Hello!"

You snap out of your languid state and send a smile in return. "Hello! Did you find everything okay?" Scanning a simple shirt, you await for her response.

"Yes, I did. Thank you! How are you?" she questions, the same pearly smile still etched on her face.

"I'm doing alright, and you?" You scan the rest of the clothing, "$45.89 is the total."

By the expression on her face, you can tell that she's ruminating on something. "Well.." she begins, hesitating. "I'm still alive." A light laugh pass her lips as she hands you the money. "Still hanging on..!"

The once pearly smile is now replaced with a crestfallen one. You didn't want to seem inquisitive, but you didn't want to leave her dismal either. "I don't want to intrude, so I won't ask what's going on. But I believe that you'll make it through this difficult journey."

Promptly, the pearly smile returns. "Thank you for saying that. Although you're a stranger, your words mean a lot to me! I'm guessing you're having a rough day too?"

A brow quirks up as your eyes fill with surprise. "What makes you say that?"

The female simply simpers, "Your smile and posture says it all."

Straightaway, you change your posture. You didn't realize that you've been lolling this whole time until now. "Okay, you caught me. Today has been a rough day with angry customers." You heave yet another weary sigh.

Picking up her bags, she flashes you the same pearly smile from when you first laid eyes on her; you're starting to adore this customer's smile. "Let's walk this difficult journey and hang on.. together.. okay?"

"Okay," you concur.

Her eyes trail to your name tag, "(Y/N).. are you going to be working next week? Say.. on a Friday?"

"Yep! Why do you ask?"

"Great! See you next week!" She turns to the exit and lifts a hand up as to say goodbye. A small smile grace your face.

A crappy day turns into a decent one, all because of a customer. A female with a smile you absolutely adore.
