Jack's POV
*Time Skip to Lunch*
I was quickly running out of Language after the bell rang and I ran to the lunch room. Mark quickly caught up to me.
"Hello love." Mark said smiling as he toyed with my emotions. Why does Mark make me feel happy and bubbly but sometimes irritated and annoyed?
"Hi Mark. Ready to eat with Emma?" He rolled his eyes and wrapped in arm around my torso. God did it feel right.
"Ready as ever." He laughed lightly and we reached the tables.
"Emma! Chloe! So good to see you!" Mark said perky but I knew he was doing this to mock them.
"Jack! You bitch where have you been?" She giggled and flipped her hair.
"Bye Mark, no gays aloud." Chloe murmured obviously irritated and I felt like starting a fight.
"Chloe! I am so sorry on her behalf. She doesn't like Mark because they use to date." Emma said being perky and swaying her head back and forth.
"So gays really aren't allowed here?" I said quietly and a guy turned around.
"That's not true! Tyler hangs out with us. Hi I'm Jc by the way." Jc stuck his hand out and I hesitantly shook it.
"Hi Jc, is that Kian?" I recall Emma saying we'd hangout by Jc and Kian. I pointed to a boy who sat by Jc with glasses and brown hair. [reference to my sisters book, Please read it, it's The Jock and the Nerd alli_love4021 ]
"Yeah, he's my boy-" Jc started out but then cleared his throat.
"My home boy." Jc finished and Chloe eyed him.
"Well if you want to fit in, you should come to my party this weekend." Chloe twirled her hair and she started to piss me off.
"Everyone's going. Dan and Connor are even going." Jc said laughing a little.
"Dan and Connor? Why is that a big deal?" They all laughed at my question and I felt like digging a hole and burying myself.
"Connor is a cat fanatic, which means he's not in the click and Dan is socially awkward." Chloe flipped her hair then stood up.
"Connor's fun and all but geez does he love cats. We love Connor." Jc said sitting up and Kian was obviously checking Jc out.
"Wait... what click?" I heard a small laugh from Chloe and Emma. God they're annoying as hell but... I need to fit in...
"If we like you you're in the click. If you annoy us, we don't click." Emma explained. I still don't get it but screw it.
I started eating and a guy ran over to us.
"Jack, right?" He said panting a little. How do so many people know my name.
"Depends..." I looked at Mark then at the guy.
"Just tell him Ethan." Emma mumbled looking at her sandwich.
"They want you in the office." He sat down by Emma and surprise took over me. Who could it be.
"Thanks..." I stood up and started walking to the office.
Once I reached the office I saw the lady at the front desk wave me in.
"Hey Ms.Helbig-" She cut me off.
"It's actually Misses but it's okay. Anyways this was dropped off here this morning and I figured that I should call you in to get it." She handed me a brown cardboard box.
"Thanks." I hoisted the heavy-ish box and she nodded.
"Have a nice day." She waved goodbye and I smiled walking to my locker.
I walked down to my locker and I put the box in my backpack. When I heard the bell ring I scrambled to my next class. I was in this class with Mark and through the class period he sent me notes. I love him but we needed to pay attention.
'Pay attention' I passed him the note and I looked at the teacher and took notes. Five minuets later I glanced at Mark and noticed he took no notes and he was starring at me.
"Mark, what are you doing?" I whispered and began to scribble my notes on his notebook so he didn't fail a future test.
"I am paying attention, to you." I felt my face get red from embarrassment. Geez he's such a flirt.
-Time Skip-
At the end of the last hour I couldn't be happier to see Mark.
I ran to his locker and smiled ruffling his poofy hair.
"Wanna hangout tonight?" Mark said casually. Were his parents that laid back to let him sleepover any night?
"I mean sure but I don't know if you can stay the night, my moms a bit over protective of who I see and-" He cut me off, I love it when he does that.
"Who said your mom had to know?" He shut his locker and headed for the bus. I followed a few moments later terrified if my mom found out.
I caught up to him and sat by him on the bus.
"If your parents don't want me to sleepover I'll leave when they want me to but then I'll sneak in later, do you have a window in your room?" He asked putting an arm around me. Little things he does makes my body crazy. I hesitantly nodded my head.
"Good." He smiled and ruffled my hair.
I thought about how lucky I was to be friends with him. Everything seemed like it was going too fast. I didn't want to break up with him obviously but isn't this happening to fast? It hasn't even been a day. What if we go to fast and need to break up because we don't know enough about each other.
"Earth to Jack." Mark snapped his fingers and I came out of my trance.
"Yeah sorry, what were you asking?" I looked up and saw our seat number. Same one as this morning, Seat 14.
"Are you okay?" He looked genuinely concerned.
Maybe I shouldn't date him. I just moved here. We can just be friends. But he wants to take it slow, he doesn't want our first kiss right away. What if my mom disapproves of him. Although all the cons are there, the pros are overpopulating them. It will work out.
He looked down at me and I smiled seeing concern in his eyes, knowing he cared.
"Never better."
