Jack's POV

I woke up around 7:45 am which is weird because i usually sleep later than that. I was about to get up when I felt arms wrap tighter around me. I almost forgot Mark was here. I laid back down and looked at him. I have to break up with him. I don't want to, I really don't. It's too soon though, we only knew each other for a day! It's not right. Maybe one day we can be together again. Not now though.

I'm not an asshole though, I won't wake him up and break up with him. I'll tell him after the party tonight. I know it's going to be hard. The thing is I don't care how fast it's going, other people will. I shouldn't care what other people think, but I do. You may be thinking I'm being self absorbed and I don't care for Mark but I do. I'm doing this for him. People might get upset with him and I don't know how he would handle it.

I had a boyfriend back in Ireland and we went too fast. His name was Ryan and he was a transfer student. Anyways, we dated for six months until someone found out and kept badgering him and not me. I don't know why people don't badger me about those things, it must be because I have A's. He broke up with me two weeks after the badgering because he couldn't take it anymore.

I know Mark wouldn't break up with me, but I thought the same thing about Ryan. I don't want to be the one to break this up but I don't think I can handle the anxiety of not knowing what Mark will do. We need to take this slow.

I pulled my phone out of my jeans because I didn't have pajamas last night since we watched the movie and Mark read me The Giving Tree. I hope he isn't weirded out that I read that book. I just like it a lot for various reasons. One was it reminds me when nothing mattered and I wasn't known as the 'Smart Kid' I was known as 'An Average Boy.' There is nothing wrong with being smart though! It's just stereotypes and people think smart people are easier targets.

I felt a rustle and I looked up to see Mark waking up. His hair was messy and he looked really cute.

"Hey." Mark's voice was really low and husky in the morning.

"Hi." I hugged him and he smiled. Maybe he'd be different then Ryan and it won't go bad.

"The book yesterday was good" He looked down at me and I couldn't handle to look back at him.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." I looked at anything to change the subject.

"Come on." Mark jumped out of the bed and I instantly got confused.

"What? It's only eight. Where would we go at eight in the morning." I sat up and he looked down at me as if waiting for me to answer my own question.

"Well something's bothering you." Mark grabbed my hand to pull me up and I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach.

"No! That's not true. Why would you think that." I sat back down but he picked me up.

"Mark! Put me down!" I tried to be serious but I ended up laughing.

"No, come on." I mean I get that he wanted me to stand up, but is he really going to carry me for awhile? Not that I'm complaining. Just curious....

"Where are we going? There is no way you are carrying me downstairs!" I knew Mark was pretty strong, but carrying me down the steps is dangerous.

"Alright, I'll put you down." He put me down but as soon as I felt relief he grabbed my hand and dragged me downstairs.

"Tell your mom we won't be back until four." Was he insane?

"Four? Mark, what will we do for eight hours!" He slipped his shoes on, ignoring my comment.

"Only four hours!" He sighed then nodded. I left a sticky note for my mom saying I'd be back soon.

"Tell me where we are going please." I looked up at him and I grabbed my keys, locking the door behind me.

"To a park..." He looked around and started running and held my hand.

"A park?" I mumbled and followed him.

We got to Mark's house and he jumped in a car and got me to get in the car.

We listened to music and talked for fourty-five minuets until we reached a park. No one was there and I'm not exaggerating! There were a few benches around and miles of trees. The only reason it was a 'park' was the small playground with swings and a teeter-totter.

I got out of the car and I saw Mark's smug face. What a goof.

"Okay, we're here. Now what?" I laughed looking to the ground.

"I'll be right back." There is no way Mark is leaving me here at a park and no way of knowing where to go.

"What? No! How long will you be?" I looked up at him and he messed up my hair.

"I'll be five minuets, I promise." I won't give up on this fight.

"Mark, let me come with you!" I groaned and pouted.

"No, stay here." He jumped into the car and I sat down

Mark came back and I was more than happy to see him.

"What happened?" I jumped up and he came out and laughed.

"Close your eyes and stay there!" I sighed not wanting a cigar to be put in my hand.

"Okay, open." I looked around and saw a bucket of paint.

"What are we going to do, graffiti things?" I laughed a little remembering how Mark teased that color wasn't a hobby.

"Not yet, we haven't painted anything." He laughed and pulled out two paintbrushes.

"So is this an agreement that color is a hobby." I laughed and dipped my paintbrush in the paint.

"Not an agreement yet." He laughed and put his paintbrush in the blue paint.

"How can we seal the deal?" I stroked my paintbrush against the tree leaving a blue trail of paint.

"Look at me." Mark held my wrist and I couldn't seem to look him in the eyes.

"Mark?" I quickly glanced up at him and he placed his hand under my chin. He's swift, I'll give him that.

"Yes?" I looked up at him and his hand went on my waist. Holy crap is this some Anime movie?

"I love you." He whispered and kissed me.

I dropped my paintbrush and wrapped my arms around his neck. No way in hell will I break up with him.
