“Hi this is Curtis, sorry I cant get to the phone right now, here comes the beep, I sure do hope you know what to do with it,” Curtis’ answer phone said for the sixth time of calling him.
I groaned and threw my phone down in frustration. I was trying to call him, just to talk things that had just happened, through with him. Even though Niall was completely against the idea. I tried ringing up, just one last time, and this time he answered it.
“Hello?” he answered.
“Hi…um…its me…” I replied.
“Oh, um hi…look I’m really sor-“
“Look just let me talk. I still want to be friends. I just want you to know how much you actually freaked me out, as it reminded me of Jake. I know you wouldn’t do anything to hurt me on purpose, and I still want to be friends. I just want to let you know that me and Niall are as strong as anything, and nothing is going to change that, you understand, don’t you?”
“I really am sorry. I don’t know what came over me. And yes, I understand now…Niall clearly showed me that with a kind punch..” he laughed.
“Good, well I’m glad that is sorted,” I said.
“Friends?”
“Friends.”
*NIALL’S P.O.V*
I seriously cant believe that Curtis actually did that. If Sophie wasn’t there, he would of gotten much worse than a busted lip, I probably would of broken his face. If Sophie wants to continue being friends with him, then I am going to try. Whatever makes her happy. At this point, Aiden and Emily walked through the door, Samuel tottering everywhere infront of them. He tottered over to me, pulling on my leg. Seeming as he couldn’t speak much yet, that meant that he wanted picking up. I bent down and picked him up.
“Hiya!” Aiden chirped, as him and Emily entered the kitchen.
Emily let out a little screech.
“What?!” Aiden asked.
“There’s blood on the floor!” she screeched, pointing to the floor. Oh shit. That must have been when I punched Curtis.
“Hmm, yeah. About that..” I started.
“Oh go on..” Aiden said.
“Well, Curtis came round to drop something off for Sophie and because I don’t like him that much I stayed upstairs but told Sophie to tell him that I wasn’t in. So I’m minding my own business upstairs when I hear her screaming and I rush down and he’s all over her. He has her pinned to the sink so she couldn’t move. I got him off her and he tried to go near her again and I kind of punched him in the face…but only because he reminded her of Jake at that very moment. She’s upstairs talking to him on the phone now, sorting things out. She still wants to be friends with him though…” I explained as quickly as I could.
“Oh..um…okay? It’s a good thing that you were actually there! But don’t go around punching people unless you really need to, because one day, you might get done for it! But I’m not going to go all overprotective big brother on him as he’s clearly learnt his lesson from you and if she still wants to be friends with him, I’m not going to be the one to stop her..” Aiden said. “I’m just going upstairs to see her then,” as he walked out and up the stairs.
“Well Niall, you can be the one to clear the blood up. It’s your own doing,” Emily teased, throwing some kitchen roll at me, sticking her tongue out.
*MY P.O.V*
I had just finished my phone conversation with Curtis when there was a knock at the door.
