Chapter 4

* a couple of months later*

"Niall are you ready?" I yelled up the stairs as I checked myself in the hallway mirror.

"I'll be down in two seconds Soph!" A muffled yell came back to me from upstairs.

Today was our first day at college. I was pretty nervous. I checked my appearance once again. I was wearing a cream blouse, black leggings and a pair of cream pumps. My brown hair was down an slightly wavy. I only had a little bit of makeup on too.

At this moment, Niall walked down the stairs, wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, a white polo and a black zip hoodie.

"You look beautiful babe," he whispered as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me lightly on the lips.

"Meh." I grumbled as I rested my head on the crook of his neck.

"So you're off to college then?" Aiden's voice interrupted us.

I turned around to see him with Samuel bobbing up and down in his arms. He was 10 months old now. He had already said a couple of words. He could say 'mama' 'dada' 'sop' and 'n-n'. He was the cutest little boy ever. He had dark brown hair like Aiden's and his eyes too, whilst having Emily's nose and mouth.

"Come here Samuel!" I cooed, stretching my arms out to him, as Aiden passed me my tiny nephew.

"N-N! Sop!" Samuel giggled, as I kissed the side of his head. "N-N!" Samuel giggled, stretching his arms out to Niall. I passed Samuel to him.

"Hello buddy!" Niall giggled at him, sticking his tongue out at him, as Samuel copied him.

"Aiden, where's Emily?" I asked.

"She's in bed having a sleep, she's Knackered. Samuel was up half of the night!" Aiden sighed, running his hand through his deflated quiff.

"Poor thing, Samuel's not sleeping well at the moment is he?" I groaned.

"No, he's teething so he keeps crying!" Aiden sighed.

"Me and Niall will look after him! He can come in our room for a week, so you two can have some sleep!" I smiled, turning to Niall who was now making silly faces at Samuel, making him giggle.

"Hey! It's not a shared room technically! It's your room, but Niall seems to forget where his room is, every night!" Aiden winked.

Niall does have his own room, but he normally ends up with me as we spend the night together. We've never done anything though!

"Oh shh! What do you say then? Samuel can come in with us?" I laughed.

"If you're sure, then that'd be great!" Aiden sighed with relief, as he gave me a hug.

Niall passed Samuel back to Aiden. We said goodbye to the both of them and headed out of the door. The college was new this year and it was only round the corner from us. We walked into the gates and stood around, there were hundreds of students just looking simply lost.

This is going to be a 'fun' day!
