Chapter 21

*one month later*

I had finally recovered from my burst appendix. The doctors weren’t lying when they said that it would take a month to recover! But I was okay now, I was up and about, back at college and pain free. The scar was even beginning to fade. Today, Louis and Curtis were coming round to do some revision. Niall and Curtis had actually been getting on very well, and they were becoming good friends, which I was pleased with. I woke up with Niall’s arms wrapped round me. I peeled him off me and headed for my bathroom. I jumped in the shower, washing my hair and body. I got out and wrapped a towel around me walking back into the room. I was greeted by Niall who kissed me on the shoulder. I dried myself and put some clean underwear on. I went into my wardrobe and got out a pair of black leggings, a white tank top and a Hollister plaid shirt. I grabbed some fluffy socks aswell, as I wouldn’t be going anywhere. I put my clothes on and dried my hair. I plaited it to the side and then did my makeup. Just the usual. Me and Niall were both ready now and Curtis and Louis would be coming round at about five, as they were coming to revise. I went to make some breakfast. I decided I wanted pancakes, I made them quickly and dished them out between Niall and I.

I found a note on the bar. It was from Aiden.

‘Gone to see Emily’s mum. Be back tonight, love ya grimshaw xx’

Aw, Aiden really did love calling me Grimshaw now. Infact, all my friends did, they said that it suited me, which I think it did. Niall and I ate breakfast quickly, then he washed up whilst I quickly tidied the front room up.

The whole day we just spent watching films and cuddling to pass the boring day.

*a couple of hours later*

There was a knock at the door and Niall went to answer it. He greeted Louis and Curtis with one of them man-hug things. I am so glad that Niall and Curtis are now getting on so well, it makes everything calmer. I am trying to forget what Harry said in the hospital. I greeted both Louis and Curtis with a quick hug before we all sat in the front room, starting the joys of revision…

After what seemed like days, but only two hours, Louis wanted a break. Niall and Louis went into the kitchen to make some coffee and tea and whatever, leaving me with Curtis.

*NIALL’S P.O.V*

“So, have you heard anything from Jake?” I asked Louis, in a hushed voice.

“Nothing more than the usual crap I get from him. I just cant believe that he is alive, just how did he do it?!” Louis asked angrily.

“I honestly don’t know, mate. It makes me feel sick that he is still out there, waiting.” I spat.

“He just keeps saying ‘watch out’ but he really is pathetic,” Louis sighed, picking up his tea.

We walked back into the front room. What the hell?!

*MY P.O.V*

“So, how have you been then?” Curtis asked me.

“I’ve been alright, a lot better now I’ve recovered. How have you been?” I asked.

“I’m glad you’re better now,” he smiled. “I’ve been okay yeah. Just the usual exam stress,” he sighed.

“Well cheer up, it may be our future, but if you get stressed, it will only make things worse,” I said, putting my hand on his shoulder. Bad move.

He slowly started to move his head closer to mine again. Shit. I pushed him away, but at this very moment, Niall and Louis walked in. Oh no.

Curtis immediately got away from me.

“Curtis..” I whispered angrily, thinking he would let this drop again.
