Chapter 9 : Devotion

Skyler's POV : 

  I slap my alarm until it stops beeping. It's the day Lay can return home! I slap myself awake and get ready as fast as I can. "I'm leaving Mom!" I announce. "It's a Saturday Hun!" she says. "I know!" I answer while leaving. "Kids these days.." she says. I run next-door and ring the bell, Sehun opens the door. "Lay?!" he asks. "Nope, it's me." I answer. "Oh I was just about to go pick him up, wanna come?" he says. "Of course!" I answer. We hop in his car and drive towards the hospital,  "I hope he's doing okay now.." I say. "Of course he is, Skyler!" he says. We finally arrive, the strong wind blows as I get out of the car. "It's cold.." I say. Sehun wraps his coat around me, "You don't have t--" I say. "Can't get you cold. Let's go!" he says while smiling.

  We arrive at Lay's room, he's sleeping like a kitten. "Should we wake him?" I ask. "Tap him on the shoulder." Sehun says. I tap Lay, he turns to me and smiles. "Today I can come back, right?" he says. I nod while smiling. I help Lay up, "Does your arm hurt a lot?" I ask. "Not really, it's getting much better." he answers. I smile, Sehun calls the Nurse to inform them about his leave. We drive back to their house, the other members welcome Lay back home. "Welcome Lay!!" they cheer. We celebrate with a movie and popcorn. Xiumin takes me into his room halfway through the movie. "Hey Skyler.. I know this might be a weird thing to ask but.. Do you like Kai?" he asks. "What? I like Kai? Impossible!" I answer. Xiumin has a bright smile on his face just like when I saw him for the first time. "How.. Do you feel towards me?" he asks. "When I first saw you I thought you were a nice, playful, neat, out-going boy, why?" I ask. Xiumin has a puzzled look on his face, "Why do you look like that Xiumin? What's wrong?" I ask. "Am I.. Someone special to you?" he asks. "O-Of course you are!" I answer. Xiumin has his smile back again, "Alright! Let's go watch the movie!" he says.

   Does EXO have a crush on me? Are we all friends? I can't focus on the movie.. Suho notices I'm not watching the movie, he taps me on the shoulder. "What is it Suho?" I whisper. "Is something going on? You can tell me about it." he whispers. "I'm okay, thanks." I whisper back. "You're lying. I can sense it." he whispers as he gets closer to me. I look at him in the eyes, suddenly a scary scene pops up in the movie, Baekhyun pushed Suho onto me by accident. I can feel Suho breathing, we're staring into eachother's eyes. I soon snap out of it and sit back up, "Uh y-you don't have to worry about me, thanks though." I say. The movie finally ends, "Skyler, you can stay for dinner! I'll cook." D.O says. "Ok! Thanks D.O!" I answer. I step out for a second to call Mom. "*Mom, I'm gonna be staying next-door okay?*" I say. "*Sure Hun! Love you, be safe!*" she answers. I hang up, as I start to go down the stairs I get pulled into a room. "Ah!" I shriek. I look at the person who pulled me, it was Chen. He's laughing..? "C-Chen! Why did you--" I say. "Just a little joke!" he says. I hit him lightly, "Idiot!! Hmph!" I say. "But, I need to tell you something important." he says while hugging me from behind. My heart is thumping so fast like a roller coaster. "I--May Like You." he whispers. He unlocks the door and leads me downstairs for dinner.

  What just happened?! I sit down casually, Chen just confessed to me?! Am I dreaming? Before Suho catches me freaking out, I start to eat my dinner. "How are you feeling Lay?" I ask. "Great! I recovered a lot." he answers while smiling, I smile back. "So how's the food? Not burnt right?" D.O asks. "It's perfect." everyone says, D.O smiles. "Skyler, I need your help after dinner." Baekhyun says. "Oh okay!" I answer. Chanyeol gives me his hanwoo beef, "Here, you can have mine." he says. "Wh- No it's okay you eat it." I answer. Chanyeol feeds me the beef until I give up, everyone laughs at what's happening. I finish up dinner and meet with Baekhyun in his room, "What do you need me to do Baekie?" I ask. "I need you to help me decide which suit I should wear." he answers. "What's it for?" I ask. "It's a secret" he says with a wink. "Alright! Go change!" I say. Baekhyun comes back with a nice black and white suit with a bowtie. "..Too classy." I say. Baekhyun changes into a nice suit with two folds and a small pocket and white fabric gloves. He looks like a prince! "That looks so handsome on you!" I say. What did I just.. Baekhyun pats my head, "Thank you my princess." EXO makes my heart flutter~~
